Can anyone list sources of these sugars... like a specific product /company name to add to a post workout shake?

Would Corn Syrup do the trick?

I'm more asking something along the lines of what YOU put in your Post Workout shake to make sure it has dextrose?

I just don't know where to get the dextrose from... (if that makes any sense :) )

Look for corn sugar which is the same as dextrose. You can usually find it in places that sell ingredients for home brewing.

Smarties candy as stray mentioned will work as well, or you can be a supp that contains malto and/or dextrose.

I buy tubs of each from supplement direct.

Thanks for the info guys, I was able to find 2 large bags at a Wine making place locally... cheap stuff too...

How much of this stuff should I be including in my shake?

50-75g should do the trick. My post workout shake has about 60g in it.

if you're looking for dextrose... why not buy bulk dextrose!?! Go to a local home wine making store and they sell it in bags for cheap!!!!

Over rated IMO.

Besides, why waste a good opportunity to eat eggo waffles and maple syrup after a workout.

/yes, probably not *AS* good but more fun

Go to proteinfactory.com. They have both for $2.49 /lb. I just bought 5 lbs. of each last night.

If you want to go overpriced and extra ghetto though I think it's either smarties or super big sweet tarts. One of those nasty roll candies.

Supplement direct has it cheaper, although the shipping charges may be a bit much. About 11 pound tub for $10.
