Hey,

New Member here. I am 17 and I just started taking Pinnacle Juiced Protein w/ MyoZap. Im using this to of course, get bigger. This has been my first week on the stuff and im already running into health problems. Since i've been using it, it feels like the fight side of my face has been becoming swollen. However, after analyzing further, it seems that I have lost control of the left side of my face!! When I smile, the left side of my face doest rise up as much and I dont have a dimple on that side anymore (I have dimples when I smile :) ) and when I "flare" my nostrils, only the right one flares. Lastly, I cant no longer wink fully with my left eye, I just look like a little kid whose just trying to learn how.

Im taking a break from the stuff for now. My daily intake was one shake after workouts with 2 scoops (40g protein) with 8 Oz. of milk. Has anyone else used this and had this problem? Should I dump the stuff and get something else?

Thanks....I really want some answers, this is really spookin me.

there is absolutely no reasoning behind protein causing this. does your face do this ONLY when taking this stuff? what else is in it besides protein? sounds like Bells Palsy(spelling?). that or you just had a stroke. anyways protein should have nothing to do with it.

Stroke at 17? Theres this stuff called MyoZap in it that supposedly stops Myostatin for being produced. Maybe it missed and got my nerve to my face...lol. I guess ill just wait a week and see what happens....

like MrWebb said,it might be BellsPalsy.Go and see your doctor about it.It may very well wear off in a few days. One of my friends had it for about 2 weeks.

Try this site for some general info about Bells Palsy

You should be eating protein everyday, so I don't see why it would cause that. Something else in there might be doing it.

See a doc. Prolly not the protein.

I agree with the others in that it is probably not the protein but I would also recommend not wasting your money on myostatin products.

Go to the doctor and let him check you out. That would be the first place I would go if I couldn't control the muscles in one side of my face.

Thanks a lot guys! Im gonna make an appointment first thing tomorrow. While I was doing military press, I kinda dropped the bar on my forehead. It barely felt like ANYTHING and I didnt have a mark or any type of even the tiniest bit of pain. But when I think back, the day after was when it kinda started to happen, which was the same day I started taking the shakes which may have lead me to think that is what caused it. From that site that howsetrading gave, it sounds like I do have Bell's Palsy. Hopefully it doesnt take too long :)

And Bradley, what would you suggest I take? I got this stuff cause the store was having a Buy1Get1 Free sale on all their shakes and the guy said that this was the best stuff they stocked. Cost about 50$.

Thanks a lot guys for all your help! :)

first of all, LMFAO! Sorry I just had to man.

secondly, I'm pretty sure that might of had something to do with your problem.

Well damn, you jumped to the conclusion that the protein did this to you and not dropping a bar on your face?

Optimum 100% whey is a good protein for the money IMO. You can order online and find a good deal on it. There have been numerous threads on which protein is the best so you might try a search. Good luck at the doctor.

ISP (Isolated Soy Protein) rocks. I drink 2 shakes a day and it works for me (and it's also cruelty free - no animal products).

I thought this was a joke! lol. You seriously dropped a bar on your head?

Let us know how it turns out bro. You might want to get someone to spot you from now on too. How much weight did you have on that thing?
