I've read some of the posts on HIIT and tried to go to the links posted in those threads and came up with crap that wasnt about HIIT. I understand it has something to do with cardio...I tried the searches and came up with more crap...anyone care to toss me a link or fill me in theirselves? :confused:

Simply put HIIT is interval training.

In a nut shell, after warming up you alternate between intervals of all out max effort sprints and less intense "cool downs". Examples would be sprinting 100 meters followed by jogging around the track back to the start then sprinting again. Repeat this until you have done the desired number of sprints. I like to do this on my Schwinn Air Dyne. I pedal as hard as possible for 30 seconds then ease up for 30 seconds. Depending on my level of conditioning I may have to start increasing the length of the lower intensity intervals as the workout progresses.

HIIT rules over reg caridio. So much more fun and seems to go by faster.

6 by 9 would burn more fat then 30 by 30, read the sticky HIIT article.
