Sorry for bad lighting.

Also, trying to work on my rear lat spread---LOL! Thats a tough one if you have never done them before. I really think that my lats are progressing though. Which is a good feeling because they have always been a weakpoint, in my eyes.

214.5 lbs. this morning.

damn backs jacked

lookin good man

02-11-2003, 05:46 PM
Thanks man, appreciate the comment about my back. Because thats always what I am trying to bring up to par. Compared to Belial's or chris mason's lats---LOL, I got nothin'.

Dude, stop the self deprication, and stop mentioning me. You look great. You are leaner than me. If your lifts keep progressing as they are, you will soon lift more than me.

02-11-2003, 05:52 PM
I am always half-serious when I make comments about that stuff chris, dont worry about it. The only reason I mention you is because your lats are motivation, nothing more. I will stop though if its bothering you. I dont know how I am leaner than you, lol, my bf% is going up and up and up.

Listen, it only bothers me because every time someone compliments you, you say thanks but you are nothing compared to me or B, or something to that effect. That is silly. I appreciate the compliment, but you really need to learn to just take a compliment and leave it at that. I really don't see myself as someone you should put on a pedestal.

02-11-2003, 06:12 PM
I understand what youre saying chris, completely.

02-11-2003, 07:13 PM
The back has some serious size. Looking good man!

In regards to the Chris Mason comments, I think Monstar was just being humble.

02-11-2003, 07:29 PM
Monstar, you're gettting jacked:eek: Keep up the good work man.

02-11-2003, 07:33 PM
Thanks for all of the support guys.

kimpy---there are no more lights in the room! I dont feel like rearranging my house, lol.

02-11-2003, 08:49 PM
Looking large! What is your height?

02-11-2003, 09:59 PM

Chris Mason has a small back and chicken legs. :hide:

Mike, is there any way the quality of the photos can be increased? You look great, but I don't see a huge improvement to be honest.

02-11-2003, 11:03 PM
^^ LOL.

Looking great man. Nice size.

02-11-2003, 11:15 PM

02-12-2003, 06:46 AM
Where dem wheels boyeeee?? (had to ask)

Looking good man! The back lat spread is a biatch of a pose huh?

02-12-2003, 06:55 AM
I have no problem doing the back lat spread, I must be doing it wrong.

You are lucky to be so damn lean Monstar, I am 16% bodyfat right now, I just am stuck, cant do **** about it, and I cant afford chicken blaaaaaaaah.

Anyways, your back has progressed, your chest also, your biceps are larger too, keep it up :)

02-12-2003, 06:57 AM
Thanks for all the support guys, appreciate it. I will put up a wheels shot sometime soon. I never think that my legs look any different. But then again I guess my upper body doesnt look that much different either, who knows.

Zole---I dont do my traps that much, no. But I do hit them indirectly all the time with deadlifts and all that. I am just not flexing my traps in any of those pictures.

Thanks for the comments Rock. After reading Maki's comment about looking my pics looking exactly the same I was a little down on myself, that made me feel better. :):)

Thanks everyone! Miss Rezza---appreciate it.

02-12-2003, 07:32 AM
You probably wont notice much of a difference looking at yourself because you see yourself every day. Look at the pics side by side from month to month and you will see a difference.

02-12-2003, 08:28 AM
Great job bro!

02-12-2003, 10:09 AM
Yeah good point eric, I didnt even think about that. Sometimes Ill get comments from people that I dont see on a regular basis. So that makes everything worthwhile.

Thanks Justin!

02-12-2003, 10:16 AM
back is lookin killer bro!!

I think you and I are built very similar. The closest I've seen on this board. Except for the fact your back and traps are ahead of mine.

If you disregard the higher than normal bodyfat in my most recent pics:rolleyes:

02-12-2003, 10:25 AM
Thanks a ton dan, appreciate it. Yeah I have seen your pics and I do think that we have a similar build. I have always had broad shoulders ever since I can remember. Only thing I think that is a REALLY weakpoint are maybe my calves? I dunno I gotta get some wheel pics up.

02-12-2003, 05:25 PM

nice work bud, keep it up

02-13-2003, 08:40 AM
Lookin great, really. When are you going to compete again?

02-13-2003, 08:46 AM
dunno if it's just me but you look a bit leaner than some of the last pics I saw

either way, looking good Mike

you oughta work on some more 'traditional' poses. :D

02-13-2003, 11:02 AM
Thanks for all the kind words guys.

Black_Curtain---I dont compete at all. So it would be tough to compete 'again' lol. Its all good though, I take that as a compliment.

Callahan---yeah I was definitely a bit leaner before. But whatever. As long as I am not turning into a fat pig, then I have no problems at all. So its all good. Well see what happens. I am really focusing on size/strength right now.

02-13-2003, 01:29 PM

im not worthy!

Sensational work mike, you have come on so far in such a short space of time. I really think that you have the ability and dedication to compete at a decent level with no problems.

Great work man, keep it up:)

02-13-2003, 10:14 PM
LOL Ron.

Thanks a lot for the kinds words man, you have no idea how much I appreciate it. Yeah I am trying to add some more size and right now I think that things are really going good. So thats always a plus. I really would like to add some more serious lat size---but thats just because I have always wanted huge lats.

02-14-2003, 12:57 AM
damn when i read your journal i imagine the intensity, but it must be something else. Huge lats are also my desire, not surprised really becasue they are such an 'impact making' muscle group.

You deserve the the praise your getting, stay hard and heavy and you will have now worries

Don't get me wrong, you are WAY bigger then I was at your age and I would be definitely jealous of your progress if I had seen these pics then.

You look good but quite honestly the lighting sucks, so I was hoping that some better lighting could be used next time.

02-14-2003, 06:39 AM
Thanks for the kind words guys. Yeah I know that the lighting sucks. Ill see what I can do about that for the next set of progress pics.

02-16-2003, 10:34 PM
Good job man.

02-17-2003, 08:17 AM
Ill see what I can do about the lighting, LOL. And thanks pastdoubt, appreciate it.

02-17-2003, 12:19 PM
LOL, I am going to try and get some wheel shots up, so maybe Ill be able to get them in better lighting.

02-17-2003, 03:26 PM
Your body looks a lot like my friend's... That's a great accomplishment, especially for a 19 year old.

02-17-2003, 05:07 PM
Thanks a lot man, appreciate it.

02-17-2003, 05:08 PM
Some wheel shots.

JEEZ, 2 lights in the room. I just think its that pathetic camera to be honest. I still think that lighting sucks. My legs look SOOOO much better than the pic shows if you ask me. Calf shots were tough to do as well, sorry.

02-18-2003, 11:00 AM
Dat's some serious Wheels Man!!!

02-18-2003, 01:26 PM
Thanks a TON Herc, appreciate it man---seriously. :D:D
