How long can one stay on t3 if they were to only use 12 mcgs?
Also, at what dosage do the catobolic effects become more pronounced?

There is no evidence showing that t-3 supplementation can damage your thyroid in any permanent fashion....so for as long as you want.
I usually run 50mcg's with all 12 weeks of my cycles then drop to 12.5mcg's for another 8 weeks or so.
t-3's catabolic nature is very individual and very dependent on how lean you are. The lower your bodyfat the more catabolic it becomes.
Personally I can't diet with it or I lose muscle rapidly.

how dramatic are the effects of t3 as far as fat loss?

For myself not so much, 50mcgs will just barely make you hyperthyroidic (outside the the high-normal range). The main benefit is your fat loss is very consistant (if your diet is consistanly good) until you get into the 12-13% range. At that point I must discontinue because t-3 will only burn muscle.
Fat loss can be very dramactic if you can handle 100-150mcg/day, however the guys who can handle this usually take a gram of test, a good dose of tren, and usually some drol or EQ to preserve muscle. Which is a great deal more AS than I am willing to use.

Does it matter when the 12mcg is taken in the day? Also, how has it been shown to increase protein synthesis? In other words, by what mechanism/s does it boost protein synthesis? Did that make sense? One last question, why has 12.5 mcg been shown to boost protein synthesis but not a higher dosage?
