hello, im currently researchin gear, as i have said in the past.

im curious, i hear a lot of people say that they usually cutt before going on a cycle, which is odd to me because from what i read steroids can actually help one cutt and gain muscle at the same time, which seems to be what everyone would like to be able to do idealy . but anywayz, will going on a mass building cycle bring fat gain as well as muscle? or does it depend on which drugs are being taken. sorry if that sounds weird to you guys, im kinda a newb.

It's not to hard to gain muscle while losing fat until you've accumulated quite a bit of extra muscle from many years of lifting. However to achieve this it requires an increadible amount of dedication to eating strategically.

Add anabolic steroids to this equation and you can achieve more impressive results however your losing the real benefit of anabolic steroids when you are in a state of constant overfeeding (bulking) which will lead to far more significant growth. You also aren't taking full advantage of anti-catabolic nature in the senario above because daily caloric could be much lower to greatly accelerate fat loss. You are essentially following the diet plan of a natural bodybuilder when you are supernatural.

Choice of drug does matter to an extent. The biggest concern would be if you use an aromatizing steroid because the higher estrogen levels will lead to greater fat storage when bulking and more difficult fat loss from the abdominal area when cutting.

Cant the aromatization be kept in check by using anti-Es while on cycle?

Indeed it can which is one of the many reasons I always include an anti-aromatase during a cycle.

The only consideration with aromatase inhibitors is if you plan to be on for a long period of time you need to limit them because they are rather harsh on HDL.

But for average joe 8-12 week cycle it should be fine, right?

Yes, your HDL will be sigificantly lowered but should return to normal after 8-12 weeks off. Depending on family genetics for heart disease a time "off" may need to be twice that of time "on."
