I just got the Designer Protein Vanilla flavored whey, and let me tell you... IT TASTES LIKE S***!!!! I am sorry for this, but i am dissapointed in my purchase and i feel other people should know as well. The vanilla Nitro Tech and the EAS simply protein vanilla tastes 100 times better than the Designer Whey. And i did only mix it with milk, with water.... i might throw up.

more expensive proteins taste better so your more likely to use it frequently and get better results. I think Optimum and Designer are good, but taste is weak IMO, I had to use 1 packet of splenda per 1 scoop of cheap whey. Works well though, 1 scoop designer strawberry and 1 pack splenda tastes great.
i have tried quite a few of all the brands and flavors and i tend to live by this law now.. dont buy strawberry or vanilla flavored for they are the worst out of the 3

I mix it with lime gatoraid and think it tastes pretty good. It gives it like a keylime pie effect. I'm a novice when it comes to lifting, but I can taste. Whey with milk is sort of like double milk which isn't really good, but whatever you do don't mix it with grape juice. I'm sure it's a rookie mistake, but still. It tastes like hot vomit.

Designer whey is considered a more expensive protein and the simply whey is dirt cheap cheap!!! EAS's simply whey is way better tasting than designer whey. On the other hand, Ntro Tech is more expensive and tasted good as well. I am just saying i hope no one has to go throught the torture like i have too.

I took Vanilla Designer 3 years ago...it was by far the worst tasting substance I have ever put into my body. I vowed to myself never to buy a vanilla flavored powder again, and to this day I have been loyal to that statement. However, sometimes I feel like I might be missing out on some decent tasting vanillas...b/c I get sick of the chocolate pretty easily. But yeah, I don't understand how they can still sell a protein that tastes that bad.

I agree with you guys. I just bought a jug of Designer Whey Vanilla from Vitamin World (30% off ). It's by far the worst tasting protein I have ever had.

That's how you learn, just because it cost more it doesn't make it any better. Designer Protein is for people that don't know any better. There are proteins that cost less and are a lot more affective.

For example, Optimum 100% whey. Can't go wrong.

To JohnnyAutoParts, Human Development Technologies Pro Blend 55 Vanilla is one of the better vanilla's I have tasted. It's a good protein too, like 4 kinds of filtered whey, egg albumen, and calcium caseinate. But my favorite is mixing vanilla with strawberry.

I can't believe so many people complain about taste. Just plug your nose and down the damn shake people.

I never pay for taste I pay because I know I'm getting the most bang for my buck.
