Buying a calorie count book is easier to me than getting online everytime I need to look up something. I just keep mine in the kitchen.

I usually just look for one that is low in sugar and has a good amount of protein from quality sources. Although they are rather expensive I like the taste of the Nitrotech bars, also the Labrada Carb Watchers bars are good IMO. Although I haven't tried one the Detour bar is supposed to be the "best tasting" bar ever.

A peanut butter sandwich and a glass of milk is a cheaper option, although bars are very convenient.
