I have been taking EFA supplements for a little over a week. I take one or two 1 g capsules each day at the same time I eat meals. A lot of the time I get a headache shortly after a take a 1g capsule. This occurs with both flax oil supplements and fish oil type suppliments. I can take other capsule supplements without a problem, so I do not think I am allergic to gelatin or glycerin. Also note that these supplements make a significant portion of my total EFA since I have an extremely low fat intake, and that I am not taking any supplements with direct GLA (GLA can be indirectly formed from flax oil LA) which sometimes cures headaches.
Has any one heard of this type of problem?

I never heard of that, in fact fish oils are advised in a lot of types of allergies. One week is not a lot of time, so it might go away. If it doesn't I would change brands. As I've said numerous times before, fish oils stored in plastic containers will oxide (like olive oil will) and will go rancid. I only use cod liver oil that comes stored in glass containers. Also, make sure your oil is cholesterol free, otherwise it won't be clear of heavy metals and other pollutants. I doubt this is it though, you wouldn't feel anything in such a short time.
In all honesty, and please don't take this personally, I think you might have been condicioned so efficiently to believe fat is evil that you might be suffering from some kind of psychosomatic reaction to increased fat intake....
