Just had a question on Alcohol. I know lite beer has like 2-9 grams of carbs depending on brand but what I cant find out is what hard liquor has like Vodka, or Spiced Rum etc. When I drink I usually do some lite beers and some Stoli Vanilla with diet coke its pretty damn good wondering what the carbs are on these alcohols. Thanks guys

I don't think thats true. Just because they don't taste sweet doesn't mean there is no sugar. In fact I read that is one of the bitchs of American sold tequila, like cuervo, they add more sugar.
As far as drinks go the better tasting more sugar.

Also watch out what your mixes. I like mine very strong so less of a problem. Though diet pop would be good.

I got a big laugh out of Michelob Ultra, jumping on the band wagon. Who does it taste? How many carbs?
Just looked in fridge, Miller lite 3.2, bud light 6.6. A little surprising cause I've aways felt bud light didn't have much taste. Now bud, I bet has alot of carbs.

So is there carbs in spiced rum and in Vodka or no ? I have been searching but cant find a solid answer anywhere some say no some say yes anybody know for sure??

Michelob ultra is ok its got 2g carbs I find it real water down compared to other lites my favorite although a little high in carbs is Sammy lite its got a killer taste for a lite beer, but I do miss having my Porters and Stouts damn I miss them.

Ever try Rogue Mocha Porter this beer rocks but I dont even want to know the carbs in that one.........

Again, no, they do not contain any carbs.

How do they make the alcohol without sugar?
I guess I am not positive.

As far a Mic Ultra I would have to see the price. If miller lite only has 1.2 I wouldn't pay more. Unless your a mic fan.

Not sure how this works.

Alcoholic Beverages

Alcohol cannot be used directly for fuel by the body. Instead, it goes to the liver for processing. There, it is chemically converted to fat and carbohydrates. Therefore, although liquor contains no "carbs," the alcohol in it is eventually converted to carbs. Alcohol contains about 6.9 calories per gram. Beer and wine also contain carbohydrates in addition to the alcohol.

Yep that sounds right. I am not a mic fan by any means (all i used to drink was bud light) but mic ultra tastes pretty damn good.

The problem i have with drinking, is I can never have just a couple beers. Its usually ends up being 12 or more in each sitting. That's why i quit completely for now so I can shed these pounds lol

I know what you mean. Usually once I get started I keep going. Atleast I don't lie to myself anymore.

When alcohol is consumed it will be used by the body for fuel first before other macronutrients, therefore putting a halt on fat burning.

Also, Amstel Light has only 95 calories.
