lol I thought of posting that too, but I figured there's already like a dozen french bashing threads, so it would be overkill.

Nothing at all, they are the masters of wine, cheese, and surrendering in war...France! :)

France is severely weakening the legitimacy of the security council by trying to thwart our aim of waging a justifiable disarmament of Saddam by force of arms in the UN. Jacques Chirac hopes he can prevent war, weaken the U.S., and keep his dream of a Franco-dominant EU from fading away.

How is it justifiable?

Disarming Iraq by force would prevent the loss of many lives that would die if we do not act. And, when I say "many lives", I'm not only talking about the lives of Americans here, but I mean the lives of every free and democratic nation plus those of Iraq's neighbors and their own people who they have already used chemical weapons against. I know this...George Bush certainly knows this...the leaders of Great Britain, Australia, Polland, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Portugal, and the Vilnius Group countries, and a growing coalition know this.

Iraq has refused to disarm in defiance of UN resolutions and restrictions for the last 12 years. They exceeded UN range limits of 150 km with its ballistic missiles and is working with unmanned aerial vehicles, which allow for a more lethal means to deliver biological and, chemical warfare agents. Several metric tons of bio and chemical agents remain unaccounted for.

Don't you believe that Saddam Hussein will, if allowed, find a way to bring death and destruction to America? Considering how hes brought death to many of his own people and, considering his links to terrorism (one example that comes to mind is how Saddam has raised the murder bonus for suicide bombers to blow themselves up in Israel) how will containment work to prevent Saddam from smuggling WMDs to terrorist organizations.

is democracy is about having there vote? just because Bush does not agree with the descion and he has the most miltary ability mean he is right? by the language you have used in "OUR AIM" means basically you want the USA to rule the security council. does that not severely weaken the legitimacy of the security council?

america has used there veto the most times.

Does it weaken the council's legitimacy any more than letting a rogue state continually violate multiple resolutions passed by that council for 10 years?

Funny that you'll mention the suicide bombers in Israel, but you won't mention the atrocities done by the Israelis themselves.

Shut up. I'm sick of this crap. We had millions and millions of threads degenerate into Israel vs. Palestine back in the day, and it will NOT be happening again.

are we on about isreal now.lol

personally i do not care if there is a war or not. people are going to die either way:(

at the end of the day tony blair knows more about the situation than i do. If we did not think he was the best leader to us, we would have not voted for him.

there is to much bullsi** flying around for me to make a good judgement on the issue.
I do not bullsh** on the WBB i mean in the general media. i have not got the time and resources into reading up world events to see how which things in the press are true.
I pay my taxes for miltraty advisers etc to do that decision for me.

I put my time in trying to get those 20 inch arms:)

Well, as of late France has not been a proponent of democracy. They want to let a totalitarian dictator remain in power. Chirac wants France to fully control the EU. Threatening aspirant countries who back the U.S. position on Iraq, that are interested in joining the EU by telling them they have diminished their chances of joining the EU. And saying that "They missed a good opportunity to shut up", basically telling them if they know what is in their best interest they will keep quiet and let The French call all the shots on behalf of Europe. It is clear France doesn't want them to have a vote unless that vote is in favor of them.
