Anybody ever consider just adding whey to a cookie recipe and cutting back on sugar.

this is the best i came across
1 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cups honey
2 cups of protein powder
3 cups dry uncooked oatmeal

combine pb and honey in nonstick pot, warm up over low heat.
then add the protein powder then oats
YOU DONT WANT TO COOK IT just warm it up to mix
then press into a pan let it cool in the frige and there you go
like a nobake

I am thinkin gof making them too. Looks easy and tasty. Honey isn't cheap, not gonna break me either. As far breakdown, just add up the ingredients.

After you take them out of the fridge and carry them around with you do they get soft and fall apart???? If not those look too GOOD!

I'll probably use regular pb for this, for the preservitives. I hope I haven't angered the masses.

Postal I've made the recipe from Big Ron's post. It's pretty much the same, maybe the portions are a little different. When you take them out of the fridge, they do soften up, but they don't break up. In fact, I've left them out of the fridge for a few hours at a time, and they were soft but just as good if not better tasting.

Adam The breakdown will differ depending on which protein you use. Go to fitday.com to add it up. It only takes a sec.

I've got basically the same recipe from WARDOG over at AnabolicMinds. It also has the breakdown on the bars.

----------------------

16 ounces Natural peanut butter
8 tablespoons honey
6 scoops of Optimum Chocolate whey protein powder
1 cup of uncooked oatmeal

Mix the peanut butter and honey in a bowl, microwave on full for 80 secs. Add the rest and mix together. You can add raisins/nuts etc to taste. Smooth into 13x9 tray and leave for 20 mins. Cut into 10 to 12 equal bars and wrap and store in fridge.

Now here is the breakdown on a batch of the goodies:

Protein: 254 grams
Carbohydrates: 282 grams
Fats: 236 grams

This batch gives you a whopping 4268 calories. Thats right, over 4000 Calories and 250+ grams of protein.

Hope this helps.

thanks guys, i forgot i even made this thread so thats why i havnt replied, yeah your going to have to add all the ingreadents up, becouse it will differ depending on the brand and type of ingreadents you use, they dont fall apart there like no-bakes. the honey seems to keep it togeher as well as give it a sweet taste. i wrap them up in foil and take them to work with me

Mikey: you're a champ bro

I have tried to make this just in a bowl and they sucked

I just spent 5 minutes and made some really nice bars

1 1/2 cups natty pb
1/2 cup honey
2 cups oatmeal

it could be sweeter but I wanted to try it with less honey and I'm happy with the taste

now I have to track down some unflavoured egg powder
