Usually people think of water retention... test, dbol, etc. are known for causing a good deal of water weight gain (unless you use an anti-aromatase of some sort), but... all that REALLY matters is how much you're eating.

Also I think side effects play into it. Like EQ, (so I've heard). As Belial put it, Eq just sits there and does its job. And makes me a sandwich.
So low-side drugs count, i guess. I think test counts as low side drug simply because the sides are so easily countered. You can take high amounts of test and a regular dose of rather cheap anti-Es can counteract most of the problem. The rest of the problems from test really rely on genetics and heredity, like hair loss, acne, etc.
But of course, I'm just a caveman.

You can use any AAS you want to bulk, and the same ones to cut. Like belial said, it's all about your diet. The drugs just speed things up.... that's it.
With a test/dbol cycle, you can cut just as effectively as you can bulk. I always tell people... you can cut with abombs if you want. It's all about diet. Lots of people respond that you'll retain water and all that... but... last I recall, water isn't fat. When you come off cycle, or throw the proper ancillaries in there... the water goes away anyway.
