Every morning I mix 1 cup of oats, and 2 scoops of whey with some water in the microwave. Is this killing the protein in the powder. If it is, please tell me so I dont waste my $$.

Heat cases a denaturing effect by cross-linking the protein bonds.
Why not adding the whey in the end?

If you add it afterwards it gets alll chunky and its quite hard to mix in.

You could disolve the protein in water/milk and then add it to oats.
it will not do it any significant harm. i often bake my protien in a dough mix. of methods of cooking microwaving will be the least harsh. its over so quick hardly any changes in protein availability will take place.

The trick is to make it too runny as you cook it, so when you put the powder in afterwards it becomes the perfect consistency. After a while you'll get the hang of it.
