Are these products refined. I heard that brown suger was better than reg. suger. And would they okay for a carb up. I am planning on baking cookies as I won't be able to eat at home.

And does anyone have a descent recipe for oatmeal cookies that would be low in fat.

Brown sugar is granulated sugar that is combined with molasses in varying quantities to yield golden, light, or dark brown sugar, with crystals varying from coarse to finely granulated. Store sugar indefinitely in an airtight container

Might try cooking with Splenda which is an artificial sweetner but you can cook with it, unlike most other artificial sweetners. I wouldn't worry about the cocoa interfering with your carb up.
