how do you feel about that stance?? isnt wider than competition, or no?? or was that for a comp
my feet are a lot closer together... but i am sure it is just personal preference

Chris Rodgers

Thanks everyone.

There is no limit to squat stance. You can squat as narrow or wide as you want. It's harder to make depth the wider you go, but it utilizes the stronger squatting muscles to a greater degree(glutes, hips, hams and low back). I am much stronger wide.

Its me legit balla, Gonepostal since you want to hear my plan for making money here it is. I'm an extremely talented Division 1 WR. I will be playing in the NFL in a few years. In case you dont know the rookie minium is 250,000. I plan on making more close to 1,000,000 a year plus signing bonus. As for my strength at 6'2 215 I bench 400, squat 500, 35 inch vertical leap, 300 power clean, and a 4.5 40. Please respond with more amusing comments. Also tell me why you think you are better then me.

What's your real name I keep up to date with the NFL draft and what draft are you planing to be in? 2005?
Not to bust your bubble but there are ppl on this site that are much stronger and bigger then you. Latty here just squated 400 @150 while you are 215.

Lastly I am better then you because clearly I am your intelectual superior.

Str8 balla

I'm not going to reveal my name but I have 2 years of elgibilty left so yes I will be in the 2005 draft. If I wanted to I could be stronger but I would have to sacrifice speed, which I dont want to do. And if you are my intellectual superior where did you graduate from college and in what field?

GonePostal

University of Toronto. Computer Engineering. (In progress. 2nd year)

On Topic Again: Nice lift Lat, no is that considered parallel or ass to floor. Just wondering because I go a little lower but can't pull off 405. Heck I am a 315. Awesome strength, btw.

Budiak
03-14-2003, 01:43 AM
****, it looked like your head was about to pop off!

Very nice, that 405 didnt look that hard, it looked like you wobbled a bit and you were thrown off somehow, but recovered nicely.

And Baller, I'm an extremely talented actor and filmmaker and I plan on making 15 million a film. 2 films a year...yeah, thats not bad. Of course I wont work that much. I need my own time to lift and hunt rare, exotic animals for sport with Ted Nugent.
Maybe I'll buy your team and put you on the bench for the entire length of a 4 year contract. Who cares? I'm the owner! I'd bench Kobe for a season just because he's a bitch. People will watch the Lakers, they dont give a ****. Fans will always remain fans. Here in Sacramento there are a smidgeon more Kings fans than there were 5 years ago when they werent winning championships. I dont lose a dime.
Then I'll fire the coach maybe, and hire...a box of jujyfruits. Or a banana. No, wait, Shaq would surely eat the new coach.
Whatever I do, Ill be sure to do it in a rainbow wig.
**** the media, I'm the owner!
And I dont need to power clean anything to do it.
But I clean anyways. Ask Vin Diesel to clean a weight and he'll ask what kind of soap to use.

LOL please explain to me how getting stronger will sacrifce speed? Gee, I guess all those athletes train with explosive olympic lifts for no reason

str8 ballsack, don't count your chickens before they hatch. There have been many more talented and physically gifted players who have gone through the college ranks without making it in the NFL.

And by the way, your stats are good, but 4.5 40s and 35" vertical leaps are not uncommon in D1 ball. I played a few years ago myself. And if you squatted 405 in 10th grade @180, why are you only squatting 500 now, this many years later and so much heavier? Pound-for-pound, you're getting weaker.

Anyways, LATMAN, great job on that squat bro

Re: Str8 balla
why is it that everyone on the internet is bigger, smarter, better looking and more athletic?

Oh wait

It's because it's a medium where anyone can talk out of their asses and pretend to be whatever they want with no way to check it out.

And if you really are a div1 WR with those kinds of hopes and you're worked up about what some person on a internet board is saying to you, you REALLY need to reprioritize. And get your head out of your ass.

Latty:
you da man.

I cant stand people like that. the only reason i can think of why somebody would like to go about telling everybody online why hes better than them is that they really dont like themselves at all and are stupid assholes who think that getting their assholeness diagnosed and labelled some fancy latin word makes them less of an asshole.

Latty, nice lift. quite a fanatic crowd there too

now, i understand people make typos when they are in a hurry...but, if you are going to tell someone you are more intelligent than him, you should at least double-check your spelling

i agree. unless you got an injury legit balla ( ), you should be far above 500 now.

anything is possible when you squat football style

i think as long as you get a bend in your legs, and then re-straighten them, it counts as being legal :D

Haha, and then the coach rounds up to the nearest hundred pounds to make his team sound better, lol.

Thanks everyone who posted compliments and ripped on the next Jerry Rice over there.

Whoever commented on depth:

I used to squat deeper. I was also weaker and had worse form. I now squat as deep as neccessary. That is a legal squat. Now if that were an IPF/USAPL meet I would most likely be red-lighted on depth. I have competed in the fed and had my squats passed, but it is ridiculous how low they want you to go. My next meet will be an APF meet which is more lenient and just asks you to break parallel.
