View Full Version : should i eat lots of protein on off days too?

I work out 4-5 days a week..usually monday-friday..
I eat 4 meals/day, have my protein shakes..etc etc.

When weekend comes around, i get a bit lazier, sleep in,
just eat watever i can and dont really care about the amount of
proteins or calories i consume since I dont really do anything...

my question is... does you muscle repair on off days too? does that mean i have to consume just as much of protein on off days?? does it matter?? thanks.

I think you should consume the same amount of protein as you do on wordays on offdays also. And yes, your muscle do repair on off days. How can they repair while you're working them :p

The weekend for you will be the most important time as far as growth is concerned, you will be at rest for the only time in a week. Therefore you must replenish your stores and more to achieve optimal growth.

If anything, i eat more at weekends than through the week. Itas easier for me to do aswell because i have no university committments then, so i can prepare food with ease.

eat the same diet on off days as you would during on days.
