View Full Version : March Progress Pics

Some decent lighting today I think. Did these in the morning when it was nice and sunny outside. Tried to get some decent triceps shots. Also got a crossed-arm forearm pose, lol. Back I can never pose right, for some reason. Whatever.

213 lbs. this morning, without clothes.

By the way, front double biceps pose makes my right arm look smaller than my left. Thats just the camera angle---they measure exactly the same.

03-17-2003, 09:33 AM
Obligatory... *where's the pics?*

03-17-2003, 11:48 AM
Wow, your arms are huge! Good job

03-17-2003, 11:58 AM
You never cease to amaze me Mike

Every update shows some superb progress, this month the arms look crazy!

your triceps look like youve had implants:)

keep it up mike, phenominal work.

03-17-2003, 11:58 AM
Lookin' big Monstar. Your tri's especially are looking huge. Keep up the great work!

03-17-2003, 12:16 PM
Thanks guys, keep in mind that my arm is against my body in those triceps shots. So that does give it the added illusion of size. Just like a standard bodybuilding side triceps pose, the arm right against the body.

Thanks for all of the kind words.

LOL, my triceps didnt get implants. :D:D

03-17-2003, 04:55 PM
Monstar u swoll son of a b...

oh! i mean nice pics Monstar! definately lookin solid and ur triceps r lookin huge too

03-17-2003, 05:20 PM
Thanks a lot Skillz, appreciate it man. Yeah I have been trying to put in a lotta hard work with Westside. I think its starting to pay off. Some extra triceps size, little bit of trap size, etc.

Thanks for the support.

03-17-2003, 06:01 PM
Lookin good monstar! I didnt realize you had tris that huge! I want the belly of my tris to look like that!! LOL Since I started mixing in CGBP's they're doing better.......

Your pics looks great bro'!!!! Shows what hard work and focus can do for ya!

03-17-2003, 07:23 PM
tris are sickening and love the ropes on your forearms

03-17-2003, 09:15 PM
Thanks a lot for the comments guys, appreciate it.

Kenn: Yeah man I have been lots of heavy lockouts lately, etc. Westside I think has really really helped out a ton with my triceps size and strength. At least I think, I am not 100% positive just yet about what I have gained from Westside size wise.

kook: Damn, never heard that one before---thanks!

03-18-2003, 12:59 AM
As always mike you look graet!

03-18-2003, 06:55 AM
looking good, per usual, Mike

where are the wheels pix? :D

03-18-2003, 07:19 AM
Thanks a lot guys.

Callahan: Hehe, actually I decided to hold off on the wheel pics this time. Just because I posted leg shots about 2-3 weeks ago. And there is really no reason to post them again I dont think.

Thanks again everyone for the kind words.

Check out those Westside triceps!!

You've been blessed with a great structure, and you've done an excellent job taking atvantage of it. Keep up th egood work.

03-18-2003, 08:19 AM
Tri's are looking huge! Nice horseshoe!

03-18-2003, 09:22 AM
Awesome front double bi. Tri's look huge too. Keep up the good work.

03-18-2003, 10:21 AM
Thanks for all of the kind words guys, appreciate it.

Yeah Paul, I do attribute my recent triceps development completely to Westside. Lockouts, and things like that really beat on my triceps.

03-18-2003, 05:22 PM

03-18-2003, 07:15 PM
LOL, thanks Herc. :D:D

Yeah, good size and definition on the tri's.

03-19-2003, 12:58 AM
Traps seem to be lagging somewhat. Otherwise you're progressing well.

03-19-2003, 08:48 AM
Thanks a lot for the support SP, appreciate it man.

Slowmo: LOL, I kinda want my traps to be lagging at this point. The bigger my traps, the smaller the illusion of my delts. So I dont want huge traps at all. Thanks for the observation though.

03-19-2003, 10:36 AM
I can see progress, you look big and you have little bodyfat, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! how do you manage to keep it so low, damnit, why does everyone eat so well, hehe.

03-19-2003, 11:30 AM
Rock, my diet SUCKS. Fast food, and sugar, and crap. Trust me man I dont have that low of bodyfat. Its not sky high like a beer gut or anything, but its not as low as I would like it to be.

03-20-2003, 01:17 PM
Those triceps are indeed insane :)

Looking at your forearms/upper arms in the pics they look huge, what do they measure in at? Even if its just the illusion of proportion, they are still large ;)

Well done man, respect that you've always been natural. Keep it that way :)

How are the legs coming along?

03-20-2003, 01:38 PM
you look about 1000 times better than i did at 215 lbs!

03-20-2003, 05:41 PM
Thanks a lot for the kind words guys, really appreciate it.

Exnor: I dont know what my arms measure right now. I know that 4-5 months back they were around 16.5-16.75" or so I believe. Ill have to double check though. I would guess that theyre right around 17" right now, not sure though. About my wheels---there is a link in my profile that will take you to all of my progress pics, I have some wheel shots in there.

Thanks johnny, appreciate it.

Monstar you are BIG and look GOOD ! good shape

a little bit leaner and it will be excellent !!! 17'' arms !! how much can you curl ?

I'm smaller and older  I hate you :D

03-21-2003, 07:43 AM
Gavan, I can BB curl 135 for 4-5 fairly clean reps. I am going to see how many I do tomorrow actually. Would love to hit 8 reps with 135. My biceps are not tremendously strong at all, they never have been. I mean theyre not a huge weakpoint, but I think my triceps completely overpower my biceps. As they should theyre a larger musclegroup.

03-21-2003, 08:07 AM
4-5x 135 that's not bad !!! Viator could do ~10x155 (perfect form)

Hey Gavan, now that I can do videos with my digital camera, I can shoot a video of me curling. I can only get about 30 sec on video, so it has to be a lower rep set. What would you like to see for low reps with strict form?

Yup, I've seen many cases where strength doesn't directly correlate size. Know a guy who never goes above 135lbs on curls (very strict and controlled technique) and he has 19 1/2 " arms. Not a fat ass either.

03-21-2003, 12:12 PM
135 for 4-5 isnt horrible, but I really am hoping for 6-7 tomorrow. Well see what happens.

Slowmo, yeah well my 135 isnt PERFECT form. Its not a TON of body English like a friggin' powerclean, buts definitely not perfect.

Yes. :)

Give me a number. Remember, 225 is not strict, it is loose. I can, however, do quite a bit strict.

03-21-2003, 02:27 PM
Uh, I don't know what you looked like before, but now... wow.

03-21-2003, 06:01 PM
Thanks for all the support guys---appreciate it.

Courtney, if you click the link in my profile youll see that I really have not made a HUGE jump in progress from last month. Month to month progress pics really just help me notice little minor changes.

03-22-2003, 02:12 AM
Chris why not try to challenge Arthur Jones Curl ? :)

he said his best performance was 9x165 (strict)

He said he could curl more than Viator but was a lot weaker on triceps extension.

chris mason
03-22-2003, 07:30 AM
The problem is that my video wouldn't last long enough for 9 reps. Maybe I'll try to get a few strict reps with 185.

03-22-2003, 07:41 AM
Damn chris, I am still amazed that you can get ANY clean reps with 185. Thats some friggin' crazy BB curling strength. I guess from the years of BB curls with really low reps, huh?

chris mason
03-22-2003, 09:25 AM
It's just genetic. I have always had strong biceps.

03-22-2003, 09:27 AM
Does your camera have a smart card slot?

chris mason
03-22-2003, 09:34 AM
I have no idea, it is a miracle I figured out how to shoot the movies:D .

03-22-2003, 09:36 AM
i think mr narcissus curls more than that

I know what you mean, my camera instruction booklet is about as thick as a bible.

It would probably be located on the side of the camera and it holds a small flat card that is about 1 square inch.
If you do have a slot you can buy a smart media card for around $20-100 depending on the size (the cheaper one would be fine) which would allow you to shoot movies that are much longer, possibly 5 or more minutes. Just a thought as you are becoming quite the amateur film maker:)

Think of it this way, what would they be, 100 meg files:eek: .

03-22-2003, 09:56 AM
Around there. My card is 128 meg. You may be able to adjust the resolution on the camera to give you more time whithout the addition of a card.

03-22-2003, 02:06 PM
Looking BIG as always Mike. Nice.

03-22-2003, 07:47 PM
Everyone has mentioned your triceps but i find your forearms more impressive.

03-22-2003, 08:33 PM
Thanks a lot BennettBoy, appreciate it man.

Westy, I dont know man, I dont think that my forearms are all that great. I would take another inch on them in heartbeat!
