I was wondering if i should start taking 1 cup or so of green tea daily as part of my breakfast for a caffeine boost/energy/fat loss, etc...

or just use it when doing cardio?

lots of anti oxidents plus it taste fantastic. Green Tea contains less caffenine so I don't know if you would get any sort of stimulant effect from it. I don't. But drink it anyway.

If you really want a boost before cardio, drink cofee or eat/drink something sugary.

I try to get 2-3 cups in a day. Since I'm caffeine sensitive I get a pretty good kick from it, but nothing like coffee. Funny story actually-

A buddy of mine, back in the day, got a hold of some black annis espresso from Lebanon (no sh1t) from a coffee dealer down by the bay (Clear Lake, near NASA). This was back when I was still in highschool, 20 years ago, or so. Anyway, we were playing computer games on his old Tandy TRS-80 on a Tues night, when he pulls this stuff out and asks if I'd ever tried any. I didn't even know what the hell it was, at first. It looked like some kinda dope. Then he explained that it was coffee and it totally rocked. I said sure why not, I mean it smelled great, and it powdery fine like talc, and it was just coffee, right? I drank 3 delicious cups, and was up for 42 manic hours straight. That was how I learned I was hyper-sensitive to caffeine. Towards the end I was freaking, like panic attacks for fear that I'd never go to sleep again. All of this during a school week. When I finally fell asleep, I crashed for 13 hours, and missed school that day. Ever since then, I've had a hard time looking a cup of Joe in the face.

Speaking about green tea, Men's Health magazine said it also increases your matabolism.

Read the label on some fat burners that have green tea in them. Animal cuts maybe? Ripped fuel extreme? Not sure.

Green Tea is a great antioxidant/thermogenic. I drink it about 5 days a week.
