recipe for a home made 40/30/30 bar.
3.5 Tbsp of Joe Weider's 90% Plus Protein Mix (I use Chocolate Malt Flavored

2 Tbsp Peanut Butter (I use a brand that has only peanuts and salt as the ingredients

3 Tbsp Light Corn Syrup (Karo)

Mix ingredients together in a bowl. You will end up with something with the consistency of Play-Dough. If it seems wet, add a little more of the Protein mix.

Wow!! I really loved this thread, I was thinking of making a lemon pie on the afternoon, instead I am going to ask for a cup of whey to a friend and make a few healthy bars:cool:

Doh! I made a blueberry pie yesterday (neighbor brought over some berries) and now I have to avoid it since I'm still dieting...

Maybe I should make one of these recipes...well, maybe not the tuna one, although the cats might go for it...:p

1 cup Natural peanut butter
8 tablespoons honey
1&1/4 cups whey protein powder
1 cup of uncooked oatmeal

Mix the pb and honey in a bowl, microwave on full for 80 secs. Add the rest and mix together (get your hands in man!!) can add raisins/nuts etc to taste. Smooth into 13x9 tray and leave for 20 mins. Cut into 10 to 12 equal bars and wrap and store in fridge!!

Correct! i use organic rolled oats but its all the same. I use strawberry Whey and i love it but everybody else says the Vanilla whey works best.

I made these last ones, but I used Splenda in some skim milk for liquid instead of honey, worked fine.

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup nut butter (sunflower, tahini, etc...)

stir in a pot on the stove on low heat until melted

add protein powder 4-6 scoops

add 1-2 cups oatmeal

----------------------------------------------------------------

lot of variations too...

the key is melting on the stove

I have melted un-sweetened chocolate into this forray also and it's nice with walnuts, carob chips, organic cereals, organic cookies (without refined sugar)
