View Full Version : cheese

I am currently cutting and have been getting good results so far. I have maintained a diet that doesn't contain a lot of fat so I added some flax oil to meals and also eat cheese for some fat and some extra calories if needed so I can meet my daily calorie intake because I have a tendency to over do it and not eat enough fat and calories when cutting.
For instance I will add a slice to a chicken breast or eat a cheese stick now and then probably about 250 calories worth a day.
I am just curious if this is an "ok" plan or is there a better idea.

Sure it is ok, but there are better sources of fat than cheese. I would just throw in a couple tablespoons of natty peanut butter or a couple servings of nuts to make up those extra cals. Getting fat from a healthier source would be the way to go IMO.

Atleast cheese has a good amount of protein.

I refuse to give up cheese.

i agree with bradly, why not eat some natural peanut butter? peanut butter has "better" fats then cheese IMO, and plus you will still get a bit of protein from it

To quote something the very, very wise Pup once said to me, "I tend to get really slutty when eating PB out of the jar." So be careful, a bit of PB can turn into a lot really, really quick. Especially because it tastes so damn good.

Depends on the macronutrients of the meal and the meals purpose if it will help or hurt you.
Personally I prefer olive oil as a supplemental fat source.
