I can't say from knowledge, but I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt it changes anything.

When it's heated, doesn't it remove some of nutrients?

Do most things you cook? Probably very very very slightly, but nothing even worth considering factoring in. I don't see why it would be different.

well it's probably absorbed/digested more quickly when it's warm right? Just guessing because a baby needs warm milk and their digestive system isn't nearly as complex as ours. I dunno.... I'm quite possibly full of ****.

Cold milk is ahhhhhhh....so good.

Does a baby need warm milk, or do you heat it to imatate the mothers milk?

I dunno. But God made warm milk for a reason.......

Since it is stored in the body it is gonna be warm,no choice. Except for cold hearted people like me.

That's a good point, so you're right the milk is probably heated just to simulate the mother's milk, so the baby doesn't encounter such a sudden change.

With that said, I guess digestion wouldn't make any difference between the two. But wouldn't heating the milk denature the protein?......So that could have *some* effect.....maybe?

Heres a real dumb question. I've always heard warm milk is good before bed. I could never figure why warm would be differant? Maybe mentally soothing.??

I wouldn't think so unless you boiled the milk to death or something. Hear is a thread on denaturing protein which is what I think you are referring to

I always thought having something warm before bed was kind of soothing. More of a psychological thing. Don't know if there is any actual science behind it.

The calming effect of milk could be due to the amino acid tryptophan which is a precursor for serotonin. The same effect that turkey can have when eaten with carbohydrates.

Turkey is great before bed. It always makes me sleepy.

A liter of wine helps me sleep too.
