What kinda of stuff do you people take during workout sessions, and whats your experience with it?

Ive read that some people take ephedra before training, is this safe, and what are the effects? Thanks in advance.

Ephedra, like most drugs, if taken in moderation can be safe for healthy individuals. That being said, a bit of caffeine before your workout should do plenty to get you razzed up. Heck, I don't need stimulants to get fired up for a heavy workout.

Anyway, a solid protein powder and creatine are all the supplements you really need to get the most out of your workouts.

well when I first started out 3 months ago, I was taking Prolabs whey protein. About a month and a half ago, I started taking Phosphagen(creatine) and Prolabs N-Large 2 and I've put on almost 20lbs. It's working great for me.

nothing during...

I used to take a supplement shake 45 minutes before for a little boost, now I save my $$$ and just take a good one after my workout
