none

...but if you have to have it, just be sure to count the cals towards your daily intake. i think people have touted the 'benefits' of hard alcohol over beer, but i think none is better.

There's tons of topics on alchohol. Do a search.

I agree with Raniali and also when alcohol is consumed it becomes the primary fuel for the body so fat burning is essentially halted until the alcohol is used for energy or stored as fat. I am not saying that you can't have a few drinks occasionally but I would say moderation is the key.

I drink to much. I am cutting right now and I am trying to cut back on the alcohol. The same as I would cut back on any calorie.

Alcohol isn't good for you and I am not advocating it, but it also comes down to activity and being smart about it. I drink more then the average person and I am in better shape then the average person.

well the ideal percent is 100%

But if you can't 75% is acceptable.

Man, it must be hard getting yourself to the gym after a good night of drinking :D (I not of legal age to drink yet, so I wouldn't know :))

Its all about practice, and knowing your limits. I like a good buzz, maybe do something stupid, but not puking sick.
It can be vicous cirlce too, I've come home from work tired, figure feel to sh$tty to lift might as well drink. I do try to avoid that.

I would try not to go over 80 proof.

I disagree. The higher the %, the less it takes to get the job done, and the less total calories you end up drinking.

I've started adding alcohol to my diet %'s. I think I'm at about 1% of my total diet if I averaged out each week. I don't drink alot of alcohol, I just notice that after I drink the next day my workouts suffer. And the more I drank the more they suffer.

Well then I think you've answered your own question.

unless he meant that vodka etc does have lie sugar in it, like beer and wine has.
so they help towards the total kcal level.
