How many steps do you take in the average day? I mean, go to the mall. Walk around for a few hours.
Quite a few of the people we see in world-class concerts have been playing their respective instruments(or like instruments) for decades, probably not a lot less than they have been walking. They pick up Violin at what...8, 10, 12 years old? Its like walking. They dont even think about it.
Same thing with many guitarists like Jimmy Page, the dude was on tv in England playing guitar when he was like 12 years old. I bet he doesnt even think about what he's doing on the guitar anymore.

My brothers are violin players.
They practice 2/3 hours a day, have been playing since age 6, but they're still not amazing by any stretch of the word. Violin and piano players (especially) take years and years to get good at. Guitar, drums, trumpet... take about a year of hard practice to get really good at.

No doubt this is all coming from a musician of a skill level that's incomprehensible to us mere mortals. Either that or a dumbass. ;)
