Your sholders are looking sic!

dude! what are you doing for them these days

04-17-2003, 01:27 PM
Um...... actually I am not doing a ton of shoulder work. I am training on Westside, so I am hitting my front delts with a lot of bench presses, and things like that. I do DB laterals a lot, along with cable laterals. No overhead presses for me though.

Appreciate the kind words Herc. :):)

04-17-2003, 01:40 PM
that's awsome,

I would of guessed you pounded your rear delts all the time with the way they are coming up in the pics.

04-17-2003, 01:50 PM
LOL, I havnt done any direct rear delt work in over a year now, I know that. Maybe even longer. My rear delts always take a beating with rows, though.

04-17-2003, 01:57 PM

That must be it. Anyway good work.

04-17-2003, 02:17 PM
MS, you're lookin' great!!!! I'm about 5# lighter than you, but I don't look like that!! Geez. What are your legs measuring at?? (at the point right under your crotch/butt cheek - hence - the largest part)

04-17-2003, 02:29 PM
Your back is coming in nicely.

04-17-2003, 02:35 PM
Nice bis. :-D

04-17-2003, 02:36 PM
BTW, what do you do for them?

04-17-2003, 03:22 PM
this is very good, very good indeed.

04-17-2003, 03:30 PM
I hope you don't take this the wrong way as I'm not trying to flame or anything, but I find it REALLY bizarre how you can be so strong and not look *that* big. Maybe it's the poor quality of the pics, maybe because you have added, like you say, some flab. I mean, some of your numbers are damn right awesome and I've seen really *built* guys (both size and shape wise) use less weight than you on some exercises. Of course, there are technique differences etc. so it's hard to compare. Again, not trying to rain on your parade, just wondering. You're getting stronger and progressing fast so whatever you're doing is working extremely well. Post some higher quality pics if you get a chance.

04-17-2003, 04:49 PM
For my biceps I do BB curls and hammer curls.

Thanks for the support guys. WH Ill measure my legs tonight and get back to you on what they are.

Slowmo, I am not sure. The pic are not the greatest quality, but that is me so I am obviously not all that much bigger. I train a lot for strength I think though, keep that in mind. More than a lot of bodybuilders do. A TRUE bodybuilder doesnt care about strength at all, only hypertrophy. So maybe thats why you have seen a lot of bigger guys not lift as much.

I am more into the strength part of it as well, along with the size part of it. I dont know, to tell you the truth. I am natural too, so if you have seen a lot of guys 'roided up maybe that explains it some. I am not sure if steroids affect your strength.

Looking awesome as usual Monstar

04-17-2003, 07:10 PM
Thanks a lot Ironman, appreciate it.

04-17-2003, 08:22 PM
It's always hard to tell progress without the newest picture being tanned and shaven.

Heh, lookin good.

04-17-2003, 10:27 PM
monstar... lookin prime as usual back, shoulders and arms look so good toghether it all ties in, but how come the chest won't grow?

and you look plenty big in the pics, but in person if someone were to stand next to you at 225 and that lean, they'd understand that its pretty damn big

04-18-2003, 10:12 AM
Thanks a lot for the support guys, appreciate it.

And about my chest kook, I have never had a problem with my chest growing. Its actually a very strongpoint in my physique. Unfortunately with the lighting, it doesnt come out good. And not only the lighting actually, for some reason my chest looks very large in a t-shirt or regular clothes, but not as large without a shirt. If that makes any sense.

Just so you guys know, THIS is what having no chest looks like...

04-18-2003, 10:51 AM
Looking big man, rear delts look insane, and bicep looks pretty big, also looks like you got a pretty decent lat spread. Keep up the goo work man.

04-18-2003, 11:47 AM
Your chest doesnt look bad to me SF. Arms and all that look massive man.

Thanks for the support Lesnar.

lol, only your second post and your questioning an established members credability. Read his journals, yes all of them :) view his deadlift pics, take a closer look at these progress pics and compare them with other board members, then come back and tell me he aint 223lbs.

lol and what will that prove? there's more to bodybuilding than arms and mike's are just shy of 17" if i remember rightly. But then he's got 26" legs and a big thick back, quality chest etc... , do like i said in the above post and then come and make a judgement.

Actually, he has a pretty fair peak, which will measure a 17 despite looking a little smaller.

He's reasonably tall, too, I believe. 5'11"?

I'm not getting in to this, just pointing it out.

hey dude just calling it as i see it

i'd love to see a webcam pic of the arm being measured tho, i'll apologise profusely if it's 17

That wouldn't be much proof, he could easily bunch up the measure behind his arm.

I think they probably measure in that range as he weighs 220 ish lbs at 5'11". That arm size is commensurate with his height and weight.

04-18-2003, 09:06 PM
Uh, so is scott norton banned yet. 5 posts and all of them negative.

04-19-2003, 12:09 AM

I am not going to post an arm measurement, because I dont have someone to hold the measuring tape. And quite frankly I am not overly concerned with my arm measurement. And like chris said, its easy to fake an arm measurement.

I couldnt care less if Scott Norton believes me or not.

I have always been honest about everything, and if you choose not to believe me, fine.

04-19-2003, 12:24 AM
yeah they loook more like 12 inchers...

I normally don't say to much, by maybe you should get a pair of glasses !! I'll lend you mine. And yea, I do know what I'm talking about, I'm 5'10" 219lbs. with 17.5" arms and 27.5" thighs. Not big compared to some of the other people here but don't go flaming someone you don't even know. Maybe your the one who should put up a pic!

I'm wondering if he was banned. I know a few moderators said more went on behind the scenes than what we saw. Hopefully everything is okay though. He was always one of the nicer members from at least what I saw.

05-06-2003, 11:33 PM
The Guy is 5'11" for cryin' out loud.

Get real, man.

MonStar could very EASILY be 223. No way he's under 205, I'll tell you that. 180-something is waaaaay off-base for someone with his proportions that is 5'11".

My friend (a contest winner) is 5'11", and was only slightly heavier in the off-season that particular year, and looked about like MonStar.

I don't think having those PROPORTIONS at 5'11" is all that out-of-whack with a weight of 223.

Way to come on the board and shoot him down, though. tuttut

I don't believe your real name is Mike...post a picture of your birth certificate...

Norton, shut the f*ck up.

05-07-2003, 12:20 AM
No point in arguing, he doesn't post here anymore.
