I'm trying to figure out which would be healthier...

choice 1;

1 cup soy vanilla milk (100 cals, 3.5g fat [not sat.], 6g soy pro, 10g carbs [6g sugar])
3/4 cup kashi go lean cereal (110 cals, 1g fat, 8g soy pro, 28g carbs [7g sugar])

or simply, choice 2;

2 cups soy vanilla milk (200 cals, 7g fat [not sat.], 12g soy pro, 20g carbs [12g sugar])

i need the same equivalent total calories, this is for a maintenance diet..but which would be a better choice (to stay lean).

I would go with Choice 1 because it contains fiber, and will make you feel full longer. Option 2 has no fiber, and you will probably endup feeling hungry really fast!

I would probably go with choice number one because I would rather eat a little something than just drink a glass of soy milk. Mantis makes a good point in that the Kashi contains some fiber which will help keep you full, but I don't see much difference as far as nutrition. If you are hungry go with choice 1 if not go with choice 2:)

yea, kashi has 10g fiber... hmm... but this is part of a bigger meal by the way, either a baked potato with some tuna or a tuna sandwhich... heh

why not? the rest of my protein comes from whey, casein, chicken and seafood.
