Does this stuff really works like it says below? Who's heard of this stuff? Anyone using it right now? Can this be possible? Look what it says on their web site...
Nutropin Depot® [somatropin (rDNA origin) for injectable suspension] is a long-acting form of Genentech's recombinant human growth hormone for pediatric growth hormone deficiency using Alkermes' ProLease® injectable extended-release drug delivery system. The new formulation was designed to reduce the frequency of injections by encapsulating the drug in biodegradable microspheres.

Yes it is a long acting HGH.
The problem comes in that it is more expensive for far less HGH than with standard kits.

Actually it's not. It's cheaper than most other HGH.
Posted by ironmaster (the "guru" of all "gurus" when it comes to HGH and slin):
"Nutropin Depot is a fascinating product. I plan to post a complete review of this stuff with results shortly. This may, in fact, be the perfect delivery system for bodybuilders.
The hormone in Depot is encapsulated in a material sort of like self-dissolving sutures, but of differing thicknesses. A fair amount is unbound, and releases in the first few days, kind of a jump start. The rest is gradually released in a linear delivery that mimmicks the body over the course of 30 days.
One injection a month! I'm on my second kit, with one to go.
This could be the best exoGH I have used. I'll be specific when I post on this, and I have some suggestions on usage tehnique.
Price and availability remain a question mark, but I'm all over it."
I know that doesn't speak to price and availability but ironmaster's endorsement is good enough for me. I recently came across this at very attractive deal. Trust me, it's not as expensive as you would think.

It comes in 2 kits(3 really), but those of concern to me are: 18mg kit, releases approx 1.8units/day. 22.5mg kit, releases approx 2.25units/day Doesn't sound that high, right? Some feel that the continuous stimulation of GH receptors and/or IGF-1 production is what does it w/ this. I'm using the 18mg kits right now. I've also heard it said that results from this are equivalent to doses of Serostim in the range of 6 to 10 units/day.
I'll keep ya'll posted; sure beats those daily injections, and I do think I'm leaning up from it. I've always had low IGF-1's, even on Genotropin, and this has certainly continued to be the case with Nutropin Depot. There is some evidence out there that hepatic production of IGF-1 is not the be all and end all of how and why GH works (for anti-aging or for BB!)
My doses of Genotropin were always in the anti-aging range anyway (0.5 to 1.2 units/day); I was on this before ever cycling, as I was on test HRT.
I may at some point want to go up to the 22.5 mg kit on the Depot; I've certainly had no sides from the Depot at 18mg; I talked to one guy whose buddy did 2 of the kits at once ("more is better") and then called whining about his hands aching and such! Others have done the 22.5 and had to cut it to 18 because of some CT or other hand/finger symptoms.
I talked to Ironmaster about this and we're both enthusiatic. I'm really looking forward to his take on this! It remains to be seen what our end results will be. GH is a little harder to pin down in terms of effects than, say fina or test!
I'd appreciate any debate and feedback from others on the product and what you think about it's future as a BB and/or an anti-aging modality.

Most HGH kits are 42mg per kit Nutropin is only 18mg per kit, so you need 2.3 nutropin kits compared to something like Soma or Sero. Last time I checked pricing on Nutropin it couldn't compare in cost to Sero/Soma kits. If thats changed then it's certainly an interesting product, HGH is HGH I couldn't care about the delievery but rather the cost.

Man, JA, all you do is post things that other people say. How about letting us hear your beliefs?

I dont think it was a flame, Johnson. To his credit all of your posts thus far(or the majority) seem to be just cut and paste of posts of other members of other anabolic boards.
I understand that such information, while good, has done a bit(for those who dont know you) to make it look like you really dont know much yourself. If you want to present yourself as very learned in the field of anabolics, posting everything that other people say isnt the way to do it.
Imagine if Arnold's book was just a bunch of quotes from other bodybuilders. Wouldnt it make you wonder 'who the hell is this Arnold Schwarzenpfeffer guy anyways'?

Posting articles, abstracts, studies and referencing other posts that are very informative in nature is whole fricking purpose of these boards (maybe not this one). It's the exchange information, ideas and concepts that makes these boards helpful to newbies. Also, giving credit to other people posts versus cutting, pasting and paraphasing it then passing it off as my own ideas is how I do things. I like to cite the source of the information.
Since I knew very little about the topic at hand (Nutropin Depot) I thought I'd share other poeple's views based on their personal experience with it since I have none to speak of and neither does anyone else on this board. If you want use that a basis for discrediting me and the information provided, fine. All that does is show your arrogance. I'm out of here.

Damn yo. This would rock.
You'd probably get less sides, and not have to poke yourself 3 times a day (for a similar release).

Man, you take things hard.
We have multiple people with real pharmacological background and ideas that don't just mimic what is posted. We are just interested in what you think. You are a self-proclaimed Juice Authority, right? Well how about switching gears [no pun intended] away from being our brand new reference manual. We're all friends here. Except Fudo. No one likes him.

I don't have enough information yet on this product to formulate any sort opinion. What concerns me is the time release mechanism can shut down your natural IGF-1 levels.

I have not in any way attempted to discredit you. You really do take things hard. I see very little of your own knowledge and lots of other people's which is fine. I dont want to see Pastebot2000 when I come here, I want people.
If you read a post and gain information from it and agree with such information, is said information not now your own thought? Give credit where credit is due, thats fine, but let us know what you think. I dont see how I've been abrasive in the least in this matter or how I've attempted to discredit anybody.
I've long disagreed with modern rules of plagiarism, since everything we have learned unless we are an inventer or somehow discovered something brand new without help has been implanted in our minds in some fashion-usually by readings or teachings. I know what a timing belt is, but do I have to quote Chilton's in order to describe its function?
This thread, fine. You know nothing of it. But when talking about test, fina, etc. please just let us know what you think. If you think Fina is the panacea of Anabolic Steroids I want to hear your thoughts about it, not Joe Dip****'s thoughts! I'm assuming of course that your birthname is in fact NOT 'Joseph D Dip****'. You post a lot of good stuff but quite honestly, I'm not going to wade through 84 pages of pasted material when I'm sure you could have condensed it into a fraction of its original length. If it is not satisfactory, a link is sometimes a good companion to a condensed version of a ridiculously long thread.
And no, Nobody likes Fudo.

Possibly I took what you said the wrong way. It seemed like an attack and I took offense to it. My intentions in posting the articles I did and references of other people's viewpoints was to try to be helpful and answering questions as thoroughly as possible with references to the science. As Mod of another board that's my responsibility.
