gonna start another trainin journal.

if u guys remember me i use to be around 450 a while ago then got down to 422, then 390 and well now im about 345-350. ive came a long way and im still not done. heres wha i did today for squats.. i had to stop squats early cause my legs where cramping up

thanks guys :) .. well i was on atkins and then i just stopped and tried to eat better which is more or less wha im doing right now.. i cant really afford alot of diff foods right now cause im runnin into money problems so i eat w/e my mother buys (rice,milk,bread) i eat alot of bread cause theres nothing else but my cals arnt high so thats ok lol and i got a ton of protein powder so its fine.. im tryn to go back to keto for a couple weeks but meat is $$$ so im lookin at cheap no carb foods... (eggs,bacon,hotdogs).. isnt the best diet but... for right now its the best i can do

thanks lol funny thing was i just wanted to hit 275 but once i got there it felt light so i did 295 and even asked for a spot and i blasted it off so i said damn.. let me try 315...lol and asked someone else for a spot... that one i got it off my chest damn good but then i hit the wall bout half way or 3/4 way up.. so imma need more tricep work lol cause the bottom i had no prob wit but the top was hard lol

well todays gym wasnt great i dont know how to do speed squats and my knee felt weird from it so i had to cut squats short.

oo and a + for today... someone at the gym hadnt seen me since a couple months ago and well i didnt know who he was but as i was walkin back from the water cooler he said hey youve lost weight huh? and i said well yea like i dont know 40lbs or something and he just shook my hand and said nice work :clap:

todays gym was bad ass! first time doing real good mornings lol got some weird looks and some "wha are u workin out?" ... " ur workin your ass?" comments lol but i explained this was a powerlifting program WSB but i just got a :scratch: :windup: looks lol...

think i should have done more for abs... but im kinda feel dumb doing them at the gym ..... also some guy when i was doing GMs said 2 not go so heavy lol and i had to explain wha i was doing ..it did worry me a lil cause he said he had a back injury but my back felt more then fine so..


also i feel liek my bench days have alot more sets and more time in the gym then squat days... might have to add more sets somewhere for squat day

Anytime I try some movement that is unfamiliar I always get questions. Especially SLDL, conventional deadlifts, and good mornings. The most common, "you are gonna hurt your back."

This coming from people who do not squat and do 20 sets for their biceps twice a week:rolleyes:

Nice sessions these past couple of days. Keep it up.

Next time some guy comes up to you and is like 'what the hell are you trying to do?' slap that foo! Nah I hate when people say stuff like that though just because they don't do that exercise, actin all smart ass on ya and stuff. Anyways....enough ranting. :)

Definitely looks like you dropped some weight between those two pics, good job! Your arms look bigger in that second pic too. Keep it up! :thumbup:

well today i didnt feel like going to the gym at all, my triceps where still feelin like they might have ben sore still and i didnt get great sleep so i was just tired.. but im sooo glad i went! cause i hit a new PR on bench! never gone this heavy! :) and triceps where stronger and back was stronger then last workout :)

i noticed that on the sets for bench leading up to my last set i was going slower on the way down and it was hard at the bottom so i let it go a lil faster on the way down.. and with 315 i mean i blasted it off and didnt hit anywall... but..... with 335 man.. thats another story, that was hard everywhere lol if its a scale from 1 being the bottom (chest) and 10 being lockout.. i was going through the wall at about 3-7... lockout was fine and the very very bottom was fine... but 3-7 was hard... not sure wha weakness this is? next ME imm do 2 board presses cause thats about where the weekness would be..... but my wrist where fine! going more reading on elitefts and about rippin the bar apart really really helped with my wrist prob!... but overrall it was a damn good day!!!

good day today... i need to find out wha else i can do for squat day cause... i just dont think of ab work as like real work and tend to do that at home if i do it.. so..today was pretty short... good but short.

Just curious as to whether you have done any cardio to help with your weight loss?

Nice work on 335. You might check out some of the other Westside journals for ideas about different lifts you could perform on squat day. Check out Paul Stagg's or Saturday Fever's for some ideas.

well i had started walkin 1 mile on my off days BUT i was readin at elitefts and well i started to do car pushes and that was ....not funner but... less boring but i need someone there to be in the car so it doesnt go faster then me lol i started doing those on my off days... another thing i wanted to do was tie a rope around my truck and drag that but im not sure if westside wanted it that heavy.. so thats one area im in a lose for... any ideas?

What about maybe using a wheelbarrow (loaded with something) or some type of homemade sled? I am not really familiar with Westside but seems like I have read other members doing things like this. Car pushing is definitely a different form of cardio, sounds interesting to say the least:)

yea car pushes is fun for me but i do get some looks like im crazy cause im pushin the car in a parkin lot back and forth lol the only thing im not sure on is do i push it as fast as i can? ...

lol all my friends just think i lost my mind when i tell them i push a car for cardio lol...

o and speakin of wheel barrels my dad has one in the back i could load it up with weights and walk around the back yard lol....orrrr... lol load it up on the truck and in the skool parkin make my own lil strong man event lol car pulls,wheel barrel walks,tire flips lol not a damn bad idea if u ask me lol hmm and i would get a damn good workout!

woo wee!!! the highiest i ever went on deads was 225! man it felt great and i even think i could have gotten 335 if i tried.. next week i will! maybe more!! woo wee!!!

also yesterday and today ive ben on no/low carbs its hard cause money is tight and sometimes i dont have food so im not sure how imma get these foods but if anything im eating lean proteins so i might add a lil oats if i dont have meat in the house. :) :) :)

I wouldn't worry too much about adding in some oats. As long as you are in a caloric deficit.

Nice work on the deads. Seems like westside is treating you well:D

well the only thing im thinking thats cheap and still low carbs is eggs,hotdogs and bacon lol... that make a nice keto breakfast lol :D

I love and hate oversleeping at the same time. But whenever I do it, I always just want to sleep more and more and just feel tired the entire day. Sucks don't it?

pretty good day today but my right side of my back is a lil hurting it was fine yesterday i think its from the way i watch tv (lying on back chin touchin chest to see the tv) so im not sure.. it kinda feels like my rotator cuff but i really dont know.
