how many inches to you guys usually add to your waist for every 10-20 pounds you gain while you bulk? MrWebb told me earlier that he gained maybe .5-1 inch for every 10-15 pounds or so on his wasit, and i was wondering what everyone else experienced. im not really afraid of gaining some fat, but i just want to make sure that i dont gain too quickly and put on "unneccesary" fat.

For 10-15 lbs I gain about a pant size. Actually I just wear them to tight.

Different people put on weight in different places first so there would really be no definite answer. I think if you are gaining about .5-1lb per week you should be fine as far as fat gain, and anymore than that you might want to cut back cals. Getting your bf checked periodically would also be an option if worried about fat gain.

Heck I've gained close to 30lbs and only about one inch on my waist but its taken me almost a year or more to put on that much weight.

I'm an ectomorph so its really hard to put on weight. I think it might depend more on your body type and how your diet is. If you are an endomorph then you'll probably put on more inches to your waist than if you were an ectomorph eating a pretty clean diet.

I'd say 1 inch per 10 pounds. Of course, it all depends on if you are gaining fat or lean body mass. I think I was 30 at 160 and am roughly 31 at 170. But, I think I put most fat on in the abdominal area since my skinfold there is usually equal to the leg and chest combined.

Also, it depends on some peoples genetics. I don't know if it's my genes or not, but my pants size go up every time when I gain 10Ibs. :(

Another thing that is a factor in this is how big you are and how much you weigh. If I loose 10 pounds my waist doesn't really change. This is because i'm 6'3" 230. If my girlfriend loses 10 pounds she goes down a clothing size.

I think it has to do with the alignment of the stars, particularly the Omega Fatass constellation.

Just kidding, everyone is different. I put on 18 lbs in 4 months and between 1" and 1.5" on my waist.
