how much water do u guys drink when on creatine (total?) how about when ur not on creatine?

i'll be starting to creatine tomorrow, and was wondering if 1 gallon of water daily was enough? I've taken creatine before but i've never drank enough water...

1 gallon daily is fine. In fact, that's the recommended intake.

You just may be someone that doesn't respond that well to creatine. I remember that I tried to justify why it didn't work for me the first couple of times by saying that I must not have drank enough water, only to have the same results the next time.

1 gallon's probably fine. If you can drink 1.5-2 then go for it...you certainly won't be able to blame lack of water as an excuse for the creatine not working in this case :D.

At leats a gallon? Ugh... I'm already pizzing about 12 times a day drinking a little over half a gallon.

I have noticed one thing with creatine and water/lack thereof. I get massive charlie horse type muscle cramping when taking creatine and not enough water along with it. Especially my hamstrings and the little abdominal muscles along the rib-cage (don't know their scientific name)

So I must agree that water is a huge part of creatine functioning properly, but I seem to do just fine with a half-gallon drank thoughout the day plus the water with my meals which I'd estimate leads up to about .75 gallons a day.
