i dont have a sled or bands so i was thinking i could do farmers walks and car pushes... anyone do these instead of normal sled work? how long should i do these for?

thanks and i walk on my days off now but im thinking of takin it out and just doing GPP workouts...

Well I believe that Dave Tate said in one of his many articles that even adding those extra recovery workouts will help to improve GPP. I don't remember the exact article though, it may have been the one about GPP though if you visit the elitefts.com site. ;)

An idea would be to go to the elitefts.com site and search the q/a area. The question was asked already on 3/10/03, and it is an excellent GPP exercise (farmer's walk that is). ;) I love it personally.

At the moment I just go for 120 feet (60 feet than turn around) once as fast as possible. I am working up to being able to do it at least twice in a workout. Each time progressing in the weight carried of course. ;)

just make a sled its very easy to do. thats what i did.

Thats what I am going to do as well, just going to use a snow sled and attach rope to it to drag it with. I'm also going to start doing some car pushing on either ME SQ/DL or DE, I can't decide which. ;)
