as a hard gainer how much and how often should I be eating?

it all depends on your weight, height, goals, metabolism, etc.

6 meals a day, eat a certain amount for a week, if you're not gaining then up calories by 250ish (?) a day, see if that makes a difference, rinse, repeat

I am about 180, 6 feet. Matabolism is fast I guess. I can't seam to gain and I am always hungry.

I'm about 5"11 at 195lbs, I can probably gain on a 3500-4000cal diet.

well, how many calories are you currently eating per day?
try tracking your calories for a couple days at www.fitday.com

maybe your eating a lot less then you think.

Hardgainer? You should always be eating. Carry snacks, bars, shakes, etc. Eat a pile of solid meals a day, and cap it off with some shakes. Its too broad a question to provide and answer like "you should be eating exactally 7 meals a day, each containing 700 kCal" so just eat until you gain. if you don't gain, eat more. If you gain, eat more anyway. With a high metabolism, its not like you won't be able to brun it off once you start to cut.

also, i think sometimes people over-use the term "hardgainer".

post us a sample of your diet, and we can give you some idea's of what to change :)

Thats very true actually, most of the people that I know who call themselves "hardgainers" have a crap diet, poor sleep patterns and don't train hard enough

well heres the deal, I am living on-campus again and have to be 169 by june 6th. So right now I am kind of starting to diet. Basicly eating clean and trying to go to bed hungry. I will pick it up as the dead line draws closer. But I want to try to bulk after that so I am trying to get an idea of what I need to do.

well, if you're trying to lose weight, and you mave a fast metabolism, where in lies the problem exactally?

Just eat clean, and do cardio

why would anyone want to be 169lbs at 6 feet tall anyway?? Just curious

Exactly how much are you eating? Maybe your daily calories are too low.
