There are plenty more threads about the diet if you would like to run a search. IMO I would go with a more traditional approach. The cutting phase seems like it would be impossible for me to stick to, especially going from a large amount of calories to eating almost nothing.
I am not saying that calorie cycling is not beneficial but I don't really consider the ABCDE diet to be an effective calorie cycling strategy.

Calorie cycling seems very tempting to try, but I don't think I can stick to it.

Calorie cycling and the ABCDE diet are two different things IMO. The ABCDE diet is more like a mini bulk/cut cycles.

If it would work better than what I'm doing now I would not hesitate to do it, but from the other posts it doesn't look like it would be all that beneficial.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing? Simply cutting calories, CKD, etc.?

I've just been pretty much a bulk for the last 8 months, though I've been doing a lot of cardio because of sports, so my bodyfat is still pretty low...
