I searched and for some reason couldn't find this thread. What fast food if any is worth eating? Anything from McDonalds, Taco Bell, Burger King etc??

grilled chicken is ok I guess, as long as it's without a ton of mayo

grilled chicken salads too

i try to shy away from fast food places. but i mean in an emergency here are some ideas:

mcdonalds: grilled chicken sandwhich (no mayo, no cheese, maybe throw away bun), grilled chicken salad (no crutons, no sauce)

burgerking: same thing as mcdonalds

or you could always go to subway? ;)

The best thing to do is go to the fast food restuaraunt's website and check out the nutritional info. That way you can see for yourself and pick out what you like:)

I don't even like McDonald's, the meat is crap, the chicken breasts had bones in them, and they just suck!

I miss Wendy's :( and Chick-Fil-A :drooling:

I agree. When bulking the .99 cent chicken nuggets and a .99 cent baked potato are hard to beat.

Clean bulking is always the best way to go, but it just isn't any fun sometimes. ;)

i dont really like the thought of eating fast food. i enjoy knowing where my food has been, and whats touched it. i work at a restaurant that is considered to be pretty "high-quality" and i see some of the things that go on there. God knows what happens at McDonalds

Ironman8

Some fast food places are pretty healthy quality. For example, earlier today I ate at a Mexican grill called "Chipotles", and I ordered a grilled chicken burrito, but I asked not to add cheese or sour cream. Just what kind of fast food restaurant you're eating at, and you should be fine :).

healthy foods with occasional refeeds if you want, almost same as cutting except the reverse, just 500 over maintenance

I'm scared to start bulking in a few months. My cutting has been so hard because im an endomorph, and I'm afraid that even if i bulk clean ill gain a sh!t load of fat back. whatever. Well see.

Ironman8

Don't worry Bryan. Just stick to bulking clean, and you might gain more muscle than fat. And if you do, just cut again ;)

Refeeds would serve no metabolic benefits if you are eating over maintenance calories.

All you fast food people, there is a very good cheap book that is called Restaurant Confidential. I think it is only around $10, but it will show you the nutritional breakdown of most fast foods:

"Restaurant Confidential is a survival guide to eating out. It reveals the calories, sodium, and fat including artery clogging saturated fat in close to 1,000 foods. Chinese, Mexican, Italian? Movie theatre popcorn? Mall food? Pizza?"

You can get the book here:
http://www.cspinet.org/restaurant/

You can also get the Slide Guide for only $5. It is just a smaller quick refference quide. I bought it and keep it in my car. Check it out here:

actually if you dont want a book. i usually use www.calorieking.com 's fast food data base to look at nutritional info. then i just wrote down some of the beter foods from the places and put the list in my car in case im ever in a jam. luckily so far i havent had to take it out ;)

IMO, saturated fats aren't as dangerous as trans fat. Here's a good article on it.

Yes, I know:). They both show the trans fat content of the food as well.

Really? It's good the FDA are pressuring companies to show how much trans fat their products have ;)

I don't know if they are getting all the nutritional values of the food from the companies or not. I beleive they do some of their own testing. Here is the link to the organization, Center for Science in the Public Interest, for more info:
