I've been out of the iron game for around 2 months now, and it's killing me. I've lost a great deal of mass and strength I had previously worked so hard for, and I've had enough.

For those who followed my last journal, I injured my back in early March deadlifting. It was due to a degenerative spinal condition which is genetic and something I had no control over. I've now recovered presumably as much as I'm going to be able to, and I'm setting myself off in a new direction.

While injured, my diet went to total hell. I stopped eating healthy, and was averaging around 1400 calories/day. I've gone from a fairly lean 165 to a skinny and weak 150. I can no longer perform any lifts that exert any axial pressure, so freeweights are now going to be used sparingly. Sadly, I can no longer squat or deadlift. I will persevere, however.

My new goal is strictly for mass purposes. Previously, I had been training for mostly mass, but I always wanted to keep the possibility of future powerlifting open. That is no longer the case. I will now be incorporating a good deal of machine assistance into my lifts, and will be training on a low volume 4 day split. I'm not too concerned about my diet either, at this stage. I was a stickler for getting lean before, but now that I've lost so much of what I earned, I'm just going to eat to gain every ounce of it back, and then some. I'm going to eat until my clothes are choking me, and then I'll consider cutting.

We'll see how this works out this time around. If I can remain injury-free, hopefully this journal will last for a good while.

05-21-2003, 08:43 AM
im glad your better. it stinks that you cant use free weights, and cant DL or squat, but it sounds like ou have a lot of determination, and i think that's all you need to get to your goal!

good luck bro!

05-21-2003, 08:44 AM
Sorry to hear about all that but its damn good to have ya back! No doubt you'll be able to work around it and get big.

Now got eat something skinny! :p

05-21-2003, 08:51 AM
Good to see you back FM. I am sure you will have no problem gaining the weight back. Best of luck.

05-21-2003, 09:34 AM

Glad you're back mo. Freeweights shmeeweights...as long as you can lift some. Did you go through any physical therapy or rehab?

05-21-2003, 03:41 PM
Thanks for the comments guys, I love this community.

ec - No, I didn't do any rehab. I went to the neurosurgeon and he said that it wasn't necessary. He said just to be extremely careful, and that there's nothing keeping me from becoming a giant if I want to be. Giantness, en route, baybee. Oh yeah, and I quit my job at Casey's, so you're gonna have to devise some new plan to harass me, boy-o!

06-02-2003, 02:06 PM
Okay, this past week has been probably one of the craziest of my life. I graduated yesterday, and it has been absolute chaos. I've partied like no other, and I'm just about partied out now. I'm excited to get back at the hardcore living.

On the plus side, I'm a founding member of the Eleven-One club. We had an 11'1" beer bong last night, and myself and a friend were the only people at the party who could clear it. Go go chuy!

06-02-2003, 02:31 PM
Great to have ya back Mo! I'm glad to hear you'll be back to liftin' foo. Grats on graduating man.

06-02-2003, 02:50 PM
About Freakin' time Chuy. Congrats on surviving HS. Now lift weights...will ya?

06-02-2003, 02:56 PM
You're hitting an 11'1" beer bong and you live to tell about it?!

What's the plans for after HS?

06-03-2003, 11:59 AM
Mik - Thanks bro! Great to be back.

ec - Hah, thanks man. I'm leaving for the gym right now, I swear!

HY - LOL, hell yes mang! As of now, my plans are to move with 2 of my friends to Corpus Christi next month where I will attend A&M University. I'm going to try for at least a masters in Astronomy, Physics, or both. We shall see!

Woo, this was a good, quick workout. I kept the volume low and intensity high. I'm a bit concerned that this may be a little too low on volume though. Anyone have some input?

06-03-2003, 06:01 PM
Jesus. How many beers can that hold?

06-03-2003, 06:32 PM
4.5 beers per bongage. And I did it 4 times. There's a reason they call me teh big jesus!

Lookin' good Mo. How's it feel to be back?

06-05-2003, 02:09 PM
It feels fantastic to be back at it, Mik. For a long time there, I really let myself go, and it was definitely not good. I drank WAY too much, so I was either always drunk or always hungover. I like having this structured lifestyle, and being forced to push myself. It makes me feel like I'm being productive and I'm improving upon myself every time I walk in the gym.

I ordered up some of Dan's 1-TNT. It's the straight 1-T formula, and I've got a 4 week cycle of some 4-AD ethergels on hand. I plan on doing an 8 week cycle: 4 weeks of the 1-TNT and 4-AD to add some mass, and 4 weeks straight 1-TNT to cut the excess adipose kleenex (rimshot!). Hope 'dis be good stuffs!

06-06-2003, 05:35 PM
Good luck Mo!

06-06-2003, 06:10 PM
Hey mo. Sorry to hear about the injury. WELCOME BACK! Good luck on your new program. Too bad ya can't do too much with free weights, but you sound pretty dedicated, so i can't imagine it will hold you back too much. I'll be checkin in here more often. Good luck.

06-06-2003, 06:14 PM
Hey prune, I appreciate you stopping by! Thanks for the kind words, bro. I'm gonna be back at the iron game tenfold, and nothing's going to hold me back this time.

06-07-2003, 02:56 PM
There better not be.;)

06-08-2003, 09:45 PM
Mik - You know it, beh-beh!

Today was an off day. Diet was pretty spot on I think... I think I might've been a wee bit low on calories but that's just fine with me. Actually I don't know if I can consider today an off day. Ashley called me and asked me to help her and her friend move. Well as it turns out, I was the only male present, so I did all of the lifting up and down stairs. I did however get to meet a few hot girls doing so, and they all officially think I'm the nicest guy ever.

Felt like a pretty decent push day. Arms and chest are sufficiently fried. I'm going to the Eagles concert tonight with Ashley which should be totally ace. I also started my 4-AD ethergels today, and will augment them with the 1-TNT when it arrives later this week. Now, I munch down on a pound of ground beef. Yumyumyum.

06-11-2003, 07:52 PM
Couldn't work out today, as I had to attend my aunt's funeral. I received my cycle of 1-TNT today, and I start tomorrow.

Condolensces on your aunt, and your injury. Good to hear you're not giving up. Keep hitting the machines and you'll be back on track.

I assume ashley is your g/f? You must post some pics :D :hump:

Try to take some before/after pics for your 8 week progress with the PH's. I'm really curious what you'll look like before and after.

Oh, and I hate to be a kill-joy, but lay off the beer, dude.

06-12-2003, 09:44 AM
Pat - Appreciated man. I'll post a pic of myself and Ashley here in a minute. Good call on taking the pics, I'll do that here in a little while. And you're totally right, I need to lay off the beer. Especially during this cycle.

06-12-2003, 10:19 AM
Ok, this is a pic of me and Ashley from graduation. I normally don't smile this big, but damn, she has the effect on me.

06-12-2003, 10:24 AM
Sorry to hear about your Aunt man.

Ashley looks like quite a cutey there. :hump:

And yeah, lay off the beer while on that cycle man. Good luck with it!

06-12-2003, 10:25 AM
Nice pic Mo. She's a hotty. ;)

06-12-2003, 12:37 PM
HY - I appreciate it, mang. No beer for teh chuy.

Mik - Thanks duder. You wouldn't believe the stares old men give her when we go out.

06-12-2003, 12:40 PM

Went to the gym today, and I forgot my damn pen to write in my journal. Mother****. Oh well, it was a good shoulder/trap day. Marginal rep improvements over last week's.

I also started my 1-Test today. Rubbed it on, and it tingled. Washed my hands, made a natty pb sandwich and munched down. After that, I went to go put in my contacts, and my eyes caught on fire. It felt like I had flames coming out of my eye sockets. Jeebus I'ma have to boil my hands after each application. Either that or put my contacts in first, but that would be too easy.

06-12-2003, 12:41 PM
Oh yeah, 1000 posts baby! Woop!

06-12-2003, 12:49 PM
booya! congrats on the chick. You have a HOT gf. Good work! :D

Keep up the lifting. Looking good.

06-12-2003, 12:57 PM
Howd you get a girl like that? :D jk, good work so far, keep it up :)

06-12-2003, 05:53 PM
Hey there FM,
Feels great to be back doesn't it?? You got some solid workouts posted thus far. Good luck on getting back into things. Hey and btw keep us posted on that 1-TNT cycle, I am starting a 1-test cycle soon so I'm very interested in how others are handling their cycles and how it's effecting them. BTW you have a beautiful girlfriend :D

06-12-2003, 08:51 PM
good luck with the journal. I'll be checking in to see how the cylce goes. Part of me wants to try the prohormones, but the other part listens to my grilfriend who says she would kick my ass if I tried them...

06-13-2003, 12:54 PM
clvmike19 - Thanks a bunch bro!

Y2A - Maybe she thinks I'm rich? lol, thanks man.

Justin - It feels fantastic. Thanks a bunch, and I'll definitely keep you updated on how this 1-TNT works for me. Thanks man.

cphafner - Thanks man. Prohormones are something you really need to think long and hard about. They're expensive, and they do have side effects. I wouldn't listen to your girlfriend. Whatever decision you make, make it for yourself, not for what other people tell you.

Ooo, felt stronger than last week. This workout was longer than usual, and as you can see, I tried to mix and match a lot today. I kept the number of sets per exercise relatively small, and tried to get a good variety in. All in all, felt like an ace day. I'm going to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snoop Dogg tonight which is gonna rock ass. My ribeye is ready, so that's all I gots!

06-14-2003, 02:05 PM
The concert was totally sweet last night. I had lawn seats, and it was pouring like a mofo. I was soaked, but the Chili Peppers put on an amazing show and there was lightning going ape sh!t which created a pretty sweet atmosphere. Ah well, no training for the weekend.

06-14-2003, 02:06 PM
Oh, and as a side note, I haven't been monitoring my weight or measurments at all lately. I stepped on the scale and I'm at 170! I'm big again! Yay! I also measured my arms, and before I hurt my back, they were at around 13.25", and today they were right at 14". I must be doing something right!

Making progress is the BEST feeling. Keep it up man.

06-15-2003, 03:59 PM
Pat - No doubt man. It's nice to see all of the hard work can and does produce results. Thanks for the post, mang.

06-15-2003, 09:29 PM
congrats on the arms growing! concert sounds cool. I'm not taking them because my girl says I can't. She says that I look good enough with out them and don't need to mess with them. I don't disagree totally with her.

cp - Thanks a bunch bro. I understand about the PH's, if there are any doubts at all, don't even bother touching 'em. Wait til you know 100% that you're ready and wanting them.

Mik - Thanks duder! I guess the whole muscle memory thing is true, because I look just as big now as I did before my injury, and I'm actually stronger now. Woop!

Christ almighty. My triceps felt like they were about to rupture walking out of the gym, and my chest is swollen like no other. What an incredible workout. More progress, baby. I'm loving it.

Lately I've been eating like a horse. If it has protein, it disappears. I think I'm probably eating a bit excessively, but I'm okay with that. This morning I clocked in at 173. I'm going to try to ease back a tad so I don't gain to much rubber while on the 4-AD, and then I'll target my flabby ass when I switch to straight 1-Test. For now, it's all about getting strong baby!

06-16-2003, 06:05 PM
measured your bf% lately?

I also had to stack an assload of wood this morning, so I was already pretty tired going to the gym. My glutes are in pain from the leg pressage. Felt like a pretty damn good leg day, all lifts improved.

Just wait until you wake up tomorrow, you'll have some serious assDOMS.

I worked legs for the first time in a month (squats and lunges) on saturday, and it STILL hurts to walk 3 days later.

good work on teh wh33lz

06-17-2003, 05:15 PM
FroMo- Nice workouts bro. Are you upping the volume for the cycle? I'm cutting on my 1-tnt and I've been playing around with upping the volume since I can supposedly do more work than usual.

06-18-2003, 07:57 AM
Patty - Damn, I'm wobbling like a penguin this morning. This is rough!

Justin - Thanks man. I've been doing a little bit high on the volume, and I think it's working well. My strength is getting much better and I'm looking visibly bigger in the mirror, so I'm gonna guess that the slightly higher volume is beneficial, especially for me since I've been eating so much.

06-18-2003, 03:21 PM
Nice back day bra'....

By the way is your use of machines related to the back condition? I noticed you use a ton of 'em...

06-18-2003, 03:47 PM
Justin - Thanks man. Yeah, I use machines for the majority of my lifts because of my spinal condition. Pretty much anything that exerts downward pressure on my spinal column can easily screw my back up worse, so I don't have many options as far as free weights go.

Since I'm training strictly for mass, I actually find this method more effective. I don't have to worry about stabilizers associated with compound lifts, so machines serve that purpose perfectly.

06-18-2003, 04:05 PM
i came for the free money and sex, where is it? gimme

06-18-2003, 05:00 PM

I'm glad to see you're back into it, good luck with the 1-tnt.

Suggested reading:

The first one details fats, the second shows a guy who had the fasting glucose levels of a Type II diabetic who then turned himself around using omega 3's and healthy eating. Now he bulks without gaining ANY fat. Sick? Studies are showing that omega-3's can help make your fat cells insulin resistant. That = No fat gain. Check it out.

06-20-2003, 11:47 AM
BCC - Thanks for stopping in, duder. I appreciate it.

ec - teh hookers be on the way. Trust me!

Mik - So sue me!

galileo - Awesome reads, man. That guy that bulked without any fat is amazing. I need to do that! Crazy info in there man, I appreciate it.

06-20-2003, 11:49 AM

No weights today. I went to a Bigwig show at Sin 13 and did some mosh cardio. I got up on stage for a bit and got jacked by a bouncer, but I jacked him right back so all was well. Afterwards, I got to meet the band, the drummer gave me his drumstick, and I helped them load up all of their equipment. They're really cool guys, and they play with some kickass intensity.

Wow, I really impressed myself today on the HS Overheads. Strength gains have really felt phenomenal lately. The Upright rows totally rocked also. I haven't done them in forever, and I could really feel them hammering my delts. Weighed in at 175 this morning. I'm getting up there! I've been considering running 4-AD for the entire duration of my cycle to see just how big I can get in 8 weeks, and then cutting naturally. It's tough for me to call, because I noticed today that if I were to cut right now and get down to 10%ish bf, I would have a damn good base and I would be cut for the summer. Part of me wants to see just how much muscle I can pack on, though, and not worry about the fat. Arghea0hjeagionhaeg0-398u. I hate decisions.

06-20-2003, 01:55 PM
Nice workout Mo. I say keep packing on the beef as long as you don't feel you are putting on too much fat. Your strength has really coem back so keep lifting and eating.

06-20-2003, 05:34 PM
Hey there FroMo. Ya know what's strange? I was thinking the same thing about the whole massive bulking with 1-tnt. I wanted to do it just to see how far I can get if I was eating a massive amount and lifting intensely. At the same time I want to see those abs clearly, and get rid of my damn lovehandles. The voice of reason is telling me to cut though I could always do a bulk with the stuff after a 4 week cycle of 6-oxo. Impressive OH pressing strength there bro. Keep up the good work.

btw what's your bf @ right now?

06-20-2003, 07:41 PM
hey Chuy...lift in 3 weeks? I'll be busy until then, but I'm willing to go to your gay ass gym. PM me and we can make arrangements.

06-22-2003, 12:58 PM
Mik - Thanks mang! I'm very tempted to just keep packing on mass, but I'm still torn. I guess I'm just going to try to get my diet perfect for now and see where that takes me.

Justin - Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one. According to my calipers, I'm at around 16-17% bf, but I think that's bull****. I'm probably closer to 20.

ec - Sounds good, boss. I'll drop ya a PM.

06-23-2003, 10:01 AM
Weighed in at 178 this morning. This is the biggest I got to during my last bulk, but I was much fatter last time around. This time I actually look like someone who lifts weights! Bonus!

Ashley's ex boyfriend died 2 days ago. She's really upset about it because she told me everyday how much she hated him, and now she feels really guilty. She was with him for almost 3 years, so they have a lot of history. I feel so bad for her.

06-23-2003, 10:03 AM
Its tough to deal with something like that no matter who it is. Just be there for her and it'll workout.

06-23-2003, 10:23 AM
Sorry to hear that MO. Like HY said, just let her know that you are there for her, whatever she needs.

Grats on the weight!

06-23-2003, 12:12 PM
Mik & HY - Very true guys. I just need to do my best to comfort her.

RANT TIME: Okay, I'm probably a little off base here, and I know this is partially my fault, but I am freaking pissed. Maybe its the 4-AD talking, but I feel like smashing something. My ex-girlfriend Felicia has been driving me insane lately. We never officially broke up, but I guess it was kind of an understood thing. I cheated on her one night when I was drunk (and the only cheating was kissing another girl, nothing else) and I was okay with that. The thing that gets me is she is one of my good friends as well. I mean, even after it happened, she still acted like we were great friends. Well come to find out, my best friend Brandon ran into her best friend at the gas station a few days ago. Apparently Felicia was throwing a party and her friend had permission to invite anyone she wanted except me. What the ****. If she doesn't like me, she needs to just ****ing tell me instead of doing this behind my back bull****. I've called her almost every day this week to talk, and she's never home, and she never returns my calls.

A few weeks ago, I went and saw her at her work. I told her I missed her because I never see her anymore and her response was "And whose fault is that?" EXCUSE ME?! ARE YOU ****ING SERIOUS? While we were dating, she made absolutely ZERO effort to spend time with me. The only time I EVER saw her was at school or when I'd go by her work to visit her. She never once came over to my house or anything. I'm seriously ready to put my head through a brick wall. Girls are ****ing idiots.

06-23-2003, 12:16 PM
Dude just let her go. Sounds like she was playing you incase something better didn't come along and when you started dating somebody else it just kind of hit home with her that she hadn't strung you out enough, so now she's ditching you.

You've got girlfriend (pretty one too :D), leave the ex alone. Nothing but trouble there keeping an old wound open.

06-23-2003, 12:23 PM
HomeY - Solid advice dude. You're absolutely right. I guess I just wish things could be the way they were before we ever started dating, because we used to have so much fun together. Oh well, the past is the past. I'm much happier with Ash anyway.

06-23-2003, 06:09 PM
Mmmmmk, I've worked up a preliminary diet fo' my sizelf. Any input from you asshats would be most appreciated. Obviously it's not the cleanest ever, but it's about as clean as I get.

And there you have it. I'm gonna post this in the Diet section, too. Opinions peez!

06-23-2003, 07:42 PM
FroMo, is that a bulking diet? The cals seem very low to me. If its a cutting diet I'd say it looks ace. My cutting diet is very similar except I'm cutting on about 3000 cals, eh, ah well. If it is bulking I'd add in a good bit more cals...And what are you talkin about thats not that clean? It looks damn clean to me...

06-23-2003, 08:04 PM
Justin - This is my cutting diet for when I switch from the 1-T/4-AD combo to straight 1-T. As of now, I'm pretty much eating any meat I can get my hands on. I have a pretty slow metabolism, so I think this is right on the money as far as cals go for me. I appreciate the input, bro!

I'm with HY - There's a REASON they're ex'es.

And yes, they're F-cking idiots (with a few exceptions).

How do you like the cable punches? I've never tried them.

06-24-2003, 06:23 AM
Diet looks pretty solid. The only suggestion I might make is increasing your fat intake. But what the hell do I know! :D

06-24-2003, 08:18 AM
I agree with Mik. You need more EFA's. I'd also suggest lowering your carbs a bit and maybe not doing so much milk.

06-24-2003, 09:34 AM
Patty - Yeah, I suppose there are a couple exceptions. I really like cable punches, they are ultra sweet when you superset 'em with cable flyes. It will tear yo' chest up fo' sho'.

Mik - I'ma pick up some FOC's, because after reading lilgaelo's linkage, I think it might help!

gal - Check. I can drop the carbs a wee bit for some EFA's. Whatchoo mean not so much milk, I'm only drinking 2 cups a day! I love my dairy!

06-24-2003, 09:36 AM
Okay, seriously, what the **** is wrong with this world? My grandma died this morning. Well, she wasn't my biological grandmother, but she treated me like her own all of my life, and she was better to me than either of my real grandmothers. She was such a kind and sweet lady. To top it off, one of my best friends calls me this morning and tells me his dad went crazy, threw the entire family out of the house, and is threatening to burn the place down with all of their stuff inside. It feels like the whole ****ing planet has been turned upside down.

06-24-2003, 10:01 AM
**** dude! Sorry to hear about all that crap! Seems like when it rains it pours don't it. Just hang tight and be strong for everybody. Tough times are a real test of character but when you've made it through it makes other trials easier to handle.

If you ever need to talk just let me know man. My condolences but best of luck getting it all sorted. You're a strong person and you can get it turned around.

06-24-2003, 12:23 PM
*peeks head in journal*

Hope to see you cheery soon:D.

I almost got to meet you when I was in Texas but ec said you had recently left your old employment.....never mind, another time ;)

06-24-2003, 12:44 PM
Hang in there MO. You've got the strength to see this through even if it seems like everything is falling apart at the seams. Just make sure you're there for the ones you love and you'll get through it.

06-24-2003, 01:37 PM
HY & Mik - Thanks a bunch guys. I swear this place is better than therapy. It's nice to know there are people who genuinely care.

Franji - Welcome to the journal! Hehe I guess you came in kind of at a low point. I wish I had got to meet you when you were in Tejas, but my manager and I had some "creative differences." Teehee.

06-24-2003, 04:57 PM
Mmmm, I just had the best meal ever: A pound of ribeye with a bowl of Apple jacks with a scoop of whey mixed in. Bulking is the greatest. I weighed 175 this morning though, kinda odd. I figured I'd be teetering on 179.

Last night, my darling mom made me so happy. She knows I've been having kind of a crappy summer with all that has happened, so she suprised me with a 3 day vacation to Cozumel for me and my friend Brandon. My mom's the greatest! That means I'ma have to start this cut early so I can pick up some babes in Mexico. I'm gonna end the 4-AD in a couple of days and start on straight 1-Test. I think I'ma order some liquid clenbutrx too when I get towards the end. That is all, I must now feast.

06-25-2003, 01:34 PM
Good workout man! Calves are the best ain't they?! :D

That's awesome your mom is doing that for you! Damn a 3 day vacation to Cozumel! How long before you take off for there?

06-25-2003, 01:47 PM
Thanks mang, I think I've been converted to a calf jockey!

I'm not too sure when I'm gonna leave for Cozumel. She got the trip off an auction website and I can use it anytime between now and November, but I think I'm gonna use it either late July or early August.

06-25-2003, 04:36 PM

that's in mexico right?

06-25-2003, 06:55 PM
prune - Hey man, I appreciate the support. And trust me, I'll make myself have fun in Cozumel. :hump:

Patty - Yup, it's in Mexico. That's a funny story about the water, too. The first time I went to Cozumel, I made it a point to avoid contact with ANY water that came out of a faucet or toilet. I would pee on the ground, and I didn't take a crap for a whole week. My butt was very happy to get home after that trip, hehe.

06-25-2003, 07:06 PM
FroMo -- sorry to hear the sad news man...but hell, it seems like you have plenty of support and a kick ass mom that buys you tropical vacations. I hope things get better soon. Kickass workout. ABout this liquid clen....IS this supposed to help you drop fat? Have you used it before? Is it useful? If so I might try some...Oh and btw the water isnt THAT bad in Mexico, I showered, shaved, and shat there and had no problems.

06-25-2003, 07:25 PM
Justin - Thanks for the support man! Liquid clen is an ECA, which many people seem to think is the most effective of its kind. I've never tried it, but I had good results with Animal Cuts, and if this is better than Cuts, then it should be some good shizzle. Haha yeah now that I've been back a few times I realize the water isn't as bad as I thought, but so many people told me horror stories like I'd get cabbage growing out of my ass and stuff so I was just a little freaked heh.

Mik - Danks duder, I'm really liking my gains recently and there's no doubt I'ma tear Mehico up!

CoCoa - Welcome to my journal! I appreciate the kind words, and I think I'll have a whole keg in your honor. :p

I haven't updated in a while because I haven't lifted in a few days. My best buddy in the whole wide world Matt just got back from a 3 week tour of Europe, so I've been hanging out with him. Today was supposed to be leg day, but I tripped and busted my knee last night so I decided to just make up for the lost chest day. Knee is fine, I just think it'd be better to wait til next week to train it.

Holy jeebus. I think every lift was a new PR today. If not it's damn close. I was seriously happy with my chest pressing. Up 10 lbs from last week, and I managed 2 complete sets. Woop! Arms and chest be cashed, baby. Oh, and I tried the liquid clenbutrx today, and that stuff tastes like pure, unadulterated ass. I'ma have to eat a handful of garlic or something to get the taste out of my mouth.

07-02-2003, 10:39 PM
Ok, I just got an assload of FOC's, so this is how I'm adjusting my diet plan. I'm not retyping it all because I'm lazy so if you care to look, its on page 4. I'm going to drop the bread from meal 3, and add 10 FOC's to meal 6. That makes the diet 2167 cals, and 65.5 g of fat, 135 g carbs, and 261 g protein. Does this look betta' or should I up the fat intake still?

07-02-2003, 11:24 PM
Why so much machine work mo?

07-02-2003, 11:29 PM
Because I'm a bodybuilder, sucka! I don't need badass stabilizers or anything. I feel when using a machine, I can hit the muscle I want to hit and I can train with more weight and put more stress on said muscle. I don't have to worry about other muscle cashing out on me when I'm trying to isolate.

07-03-2003, 09:56 AM
I would still up the fat cracker! I try to get around 80-90g of fat and I've noticed a diiference in the mirror over the past couple of weeks.

Weighed in at 179 this morning. I just went and played around with Fitday, and I've decided I want to hit 165 or 160 by August 27, which is when I start school. Right now, I'm going to take a guess and say I'm at 20%bf, while I'm actually probably at around 17 or 18. Regardless, if I hit 165 and keep my LBM or add some during the 1-Test, I should be at around 10-12% bf. That would be ace.

Last night my arms got this strange sore feeling that would burn for a minute then go away every time I rolled over in my sleep, and I could still feel it during my workout. It doesn't feel like your normal case of DOMS, so I'm not exactly sure what the deal is. Oh well. Dropped 3 lbs since yesterday morning, I'm guessing it's water. I'm glad to see it, too. Damn, last night was tough for me. I went to my friend's 4th of July party at the lake, and there was all the alcohol and weed one could want. It was rough abstaining from it, especially considering EVERYONE there except one person was trying to get me to drink. I held my ground, though, and I came back home. Two of my friends came with me and I mixed them some drinks, and Ashley and her friend came over. Ashley was so wasted, it was hilarious. I don't thnk I've ever seen a more funny drunk in my life. She kept trying to get me drunk too, and damn was I tempted, but I held fast. This is gonna be a tough 6 weeks.

Its funny how uncomfortable it makes others feel when you obstain from drinking....More power to ya dude:thumbup:. I was right there with ya..... I'm on the wagon too...although I do have a cheat day tomorrow...'m soooooo looking forward to it :D :D

Thanks for the support, Franji! I hope your cheat day goes well, so have one on me!!

In other news, sticking to this diet has made me feel great. Not only do I feel great psychologically, but I also feel great physically. My friends are amazed at the willpower I have to eat for utility and not pleasure. I also have a bunch more energy, and I always feel full. Those FOC's work wonders, baby.

Nice work MO! Sounds like you're making awesome progress. The FOCs are great. I can see a difference with them.

07-07-2003, 01:31 PM
Mik - Dankjoo, brudda. These FOC's really get the job done. I mean, I'm able to already see some alterations in the mirror since I've started them (or maybe it's the 1-TNT, but who cares, something is working!) It really makes a world of difference to have a high-fat diet. I can keep my calories relatively low whilst feeling full at the same time. Ace ace ace!

I saw a friend yesterday who went on a school trip to Europe for 4 weeks, and when he saw me, he almost didn't recognize me. What's happenin' FroMo? Good thing you dont have like 10 extra pages for me to catch up on since I've been gone for a week. It seems like you're making phenomenol (sp) progress so far man. Strength in those workouts is awesome. About the FOCs, I started taking these a week ago and yeah they're a miracle supplement. They really help during a cut and I've read somewhere that they will actually help drop bodyfat. They have made my top 5 suppements list.

I can totally relate about being that one guy that isn't drinking or smoking weed at the party. It's a hard thing to do. I am constantly wrestling with my conscience to keep the dicipline for my cut and my health in general. Although I think soon I may have to indulge a bit and have a smoke...it's just too good sometimes.

07-07-2003, 03:13 PM
Hey what are your plans for post-cycle recovery?

07-07-2003, 03:28 PM
HY - I appreciate the kind words, boy-o. Hopefully this keeps up and I'ma be teh sexeh.

Justin - Hey man, great to have ya back! FOC's are definitely one of my staple supplements now, I don't think I could get by without em now, heh. You're totally right about the smoking/drinking thing. It's tough, but I'm not going to be a nazi about it. It's the summer time, I just graduated, and I'm going to let myself have a little fun (keyword: little). I think I might indulge once or twice during the rest of my cycle, but not heavily, and I don't think it will have any negative effect on my progress.

fuzz - I've got 2 bottles of 6-OXO sittin' on the counter. I'm gonna start using my liquid clenbutrx as well during post-cycle to cut up that last little bit, and maybe get down to the 7-8% range. Thanks for stopping by!

07-07-2003, 11:01 PM
Good luck with your cut. I know bout the temptations of cheating - I'm throwing a big party this weekend and there will be too much good beer around. The key is to keep your cheat days few and far between if they are going to be extreme - or just have one beer a week or something if you perfer moderation (whats that? :) )

peer pressure is a biatch. I took 2 months off from drinking(while living in my frat house to boot) to prove to myself I could do it, and also to get more into my workouts. My frat brothers gave me crap every night about drinking. Its all worth it in the end though. I would catch half their girlfriends checking me out and looking at their guys beer bellys. Good luck with the cut. Question about foc's. What brand do you use and where do you get them. I was looking at a drug store by me and they seemed really expensive.

07-08-2003, 11:20 AM
cp - Hey man, I bet that was brutal in a frat house, jeez. The FOC's I use are Optimum Nutritions softgels. You can get a crapload of them for cheap from 1fast400.

07-08-2003, 12:31 PM
Moses: I appreciate the info. That same bottle was about 8 or 9 bucks at the drug store.

07-08-2003, 01:49 PM
cp - Not a problem, my brotha. I suggest you stock up, they really help out.

Just a small update, I'm starting back up on the 4-AD. This lethargy has been killing me lately, and I'm hoping this will help. Still cutting, howevah. Diet was ace as fuhk too.

Nice shoulder work dude!

Woohoo MO! Sounds like you're getting way too many compliments. Careful, your head may get too big.

Nice work mang.

07-10-2003, 03:31 PM
That's some crazy ass volume on the shoulder day FroMo. Nice work! I haven't seen the benefits I thought I'd see from cutting on 1-tnt :( I'm glad you're getting something good out of it.

07-15-2003, 07:22 PM
Just got back from the beach. Woo, good times. Seeing Ashley and her friends in bikinis made the college orientation worth the suckage.

CoCoa - lol, thanks a bunch for the kind words!

Mik - I appreciate it baby. And I don't think I can get any cockier than I already am :p

Justin - Hehe, thanks mang. I'm sorry to hear you aren't getting the results you wanted from the 1-tnt. I guess everyone reacts to it differently.

Commentary: Not a bad day at all. My diet wasn't too great at the beach so I think that might've messed my weight up. Today was my first time to ever try DB kickbacks, and as much as people hate on them, they made my triceps burn like a motherf*ck. The only reason I did them anyways was some assclown was hogging the cable section so I couldn't do cable punches, so I figured what the hell.

Dig the new format Mo. How was teh beach? Nice chest day...you pansy...when you leaving for hurricane central? Lemme know so we can go lift, foo'.

07-16-2003, 12:54 PM
Mik y Justin - Thanks guys! Laugh all ya want, but these kickbacks are gonna give me mad tone, baby!. :D

ec - Thanks sucka. The beach was pretty nice, weather was ace. I really liked the A&M campus, but I was kinda upset with the schedule I got. The astronomy program is brand new there and it was already filled, so I was going to go the physics route but that had schedule conflicts left and right, so now I'm doing calculus. Math is teh gay. My move in date for the hizouse is August 10th, so I'm up for whenever you be!

Commentary: Woo, I liked this session. This was my first time doing lunges seriously, and they had my ass hurtin'! The calf work was brutal as well. One guy that was on the legpress machine before me watched me do the dropset and said it looked like I was giving birth towards the end. Damn.

178 :(

07-16-2003, 08:04 PM
Schweet day Mo. I've never done lunges, you liking them? Do you do walking lunges?

07-16-2003, 10:31 PM
Mik - Dude, lunges hit the ass like no other. I just did the alternating lunges as there wasn't much room to do a walk in. You can really feel them hitting your entire upper leg, but damn, they really smash the glutes. To hell with squatters ass, I'm gonna grow a lungers ass.

07-16-2003, 11:46 PM
I agree. When I first started doing lunges, they used to make me more sore than any other exercise. Longer steps place more emphasis on the glutes, while shorter steps place more emphasis on the quads.

07-17-2003, 11:14 AM
Looks like another exercises I will have to add into the program from time to time - Thanks FroMo

I'm glad more people are realizing this. I've been telling people about this forever but nobody ever listens to me. "No, no, squat!" they say. I have the stretch marks on my ass to attest to the fact that lunges will hit dat ass.

I make room to do them walking. Start tossing the crap out of the way. Walking lunges will really get ya!

FroMo, How're things man? Your progress is coming along nicely. Are ya still cutting? When are we gonna see some progress pics?

btw I'm just not used to being lean. The 1-tnt was a good boost but I think I'm gonna do injectables next time around. I'm still cutting naturally and making good fat loss gains.

07-25-2003, 10:40 AM
Ugh. This past week has not been good for me. I've had a billion things going on, and as a result, my diet and training have suffered. My weight is horrible, so much so that I'm afraid to step on a scale, because I'm fairly certain that I'm heavier now than when I started my cut.

I'm going to try my best to continue my cut, but I know I'm not going to get the results I want now. Life just throws you a curve sometimes, and you have to move on. I just have to stay focused.

Justin - I will post some pics on August 27. That was the deadline I had set for my cut. I'll probably still look like crap, and will have to continue cutting, but we'll see. I think you're right on injectables. If I decide to try another cycle of anything in the future, I will probably be going the same route.

Hey, FroMo, have you taken that trip to Mexico your mom got for ya?

07-25-2003, 02:54 PM
HY - Sure haven't, bro. To be honest with you, I'm not sure I'm even going to be able to go until later this year. My family is going crazy right now, to tell ya the truth. Not only am I trying to get my crap together to move in 3 weeks, but my parents are in the process of remodelling our current house right now, my mom is getting ready to sell off her San Antonio surgery center, which means she's getting ready to start building yet another one. Lucky for me, I can take the trip any time I want, so there's no pressure to get it out of the way (and it's a damn vacation, I don't need no damn pressure!) If I don't take it within the next few weeks, I'm probably gonna take it sometime later on this year.

07-25-2003, 02:57 PM
Okay, gonna update what I've been to busy to enter here. Even if my diet has sucked this past week, my strength has been great. Life doesn't always blow! Woop!

Nice sessions FroMo!

I hear you about the 'weight unknown' - I don't know either and really hate the scale in some ways and avoid it as of late :D

07-30-2003, 07:00 PM
CoCoa - Thanks for stoppin' by! I agree with you totally. At this point in my training, I keep looking at myself in the mirror, and while I've still got quite a bit of fat, I realize that if I cut down a whole lot, I would have the skinny-muscle guy physique, but I'm not so sure that's what I want now. Since I've been training after my back injury, my arms have grown an inch and a half, my chest and back look much more broad, and my shoulders have widened a lot. If I were to cut down now, I would lose a bunch of size, and I'm starting to think that I need to get big enough to cut down and still look big. Either way, my strength is still going up as of now, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I'd like to apologize for not updating my journal in a while, but my computer is out of commission right now. I'll try to have it online by next week, but no promises! I'll see ya'll around...
