Codec Error...wtf!?!?

i just downloaded pumping iron...finally! took forever and a day...


now i play the biatch and it is only sound! no video! how do i update somethin or download somethin, or drop kick someone, or ahhh....to make this work!?!?!

right click on the file
there are 2 tabs check the 2nd tab. It will tell you what the video/audio codec that was used to encode it was. Find it on the net, install it and enjoy.

Might want to check for Media Player and ActiveX updates on Windows Update, too.

yaz, i did a search and it just downloaded..Windows XP Service Pack 1 (Express)*....whatever that is...probably not what i wanted, but pfft, i will take an update if they got it...no clue what it does though

Do a search for codec on download.com and you'll probably find something with all the updates/patches you need.

Adam - I Got the same error, Go to www.divx.com and d/l the codec there. That fixed it for me.

if divx doesnt work the xvid codec probly will, just run a google for "xvid codec" if you still cant get it to work.

divx fixed a codec issue for me a short while ago also.
