I am trying to increase my fiber intake in my daily diet.
I used to eat Trader Joes High Fiber Cereal - BUT here are the stats:
Fat: 1g
Total Carbs: 25g
Dietary Fiber : 9g
Soluble Fiber : .5g
Insoluble Fiber : 8.5g
Sugars : 6g
Protein 2g
Calories : 90calories per 2/3 cup

My question is that I am trying to watch my Carb intake...Im not exactly on Keto or anything, but I am trying to shed some BF, so should I eat this stuff or try to get my fiber elsewhere?
Thanks!!

if it works into your total daily calories - eat it. if not, then add physllium husks to your supplement list. actually - i think i would still add the additional fiber.

Agreed - Add some pysllium to your diet and you will not be disappointed!! Make sure it's 100% pysllium (it comes in husks or powdered form). Metamucil is essentially pysillium husk with added sugar - so don't take that.
You can generally find the 100% husks at natural health food stores or places that sell herbal type remedies.

macadamia nuts are also a tasty source of both fats and dietary fibre, with minimal sugary carbs
if you're like me, the hardest part of lowcarb/keto is getting enough fats
1/4 cup of macadamias has:
2.3g protein
20g fat
4.8 g carb
of which 2.6g is dietary fibre
not a bad deal, in my book...

In terms of cereal, a small amount of carbs in the morning is fine.
I find KASHI Go Lean is a good fibre cereal w/ low sugar & high fibre.

last time i checked, the regular all-bran had like 2g sugar per serving, and the all-bran 'extra fiber' kind had no sugar

Fiber One is sweetened with artificial sweetners.

Kashi has roughly the same macro breakdown as the cereal listed in the initial post, which he was trying to get away from.
I believe Kashi Go Lean Original has 90 cals per serving and 24g of carbs (8g of fiber).
