View Full Version : Offtime in HIIT matter?

How important is the offtime in doing HIIT? Like, say I do a 10-15 sec sprint then I jog for maybe 2 and a half minutes instead of the 45seconds most people do. Would this make much of a difference?

I think I remember Powerman saying take as long as you need to somewhat recover, so you can go all out again. Overtime as you get into shape recovery will be faster. So that might be an area you want to work on, instead increasing the number of sprints per session, drop recovery time a little each session.
