I dont have anymore whey protein until I can go buy some (Im broke :( ) what can I substitute for pre/post workout (like whole foods or whatever)???

Whenever i run out i stick with lean meats, Chicken breasts and fish, whatever i can get my grubby hands on.

gee Dylan, thanks....errr not.
Raiden, my prob is that I can hardly stomach stuff like that after a workout that is very intense....thats why the shakes worked for me....anything is liquid form you can think of?

gee.... errr take the food, throw it in the blender, liquify and drink it, problem solved or buy some more protein

well personally after a work out i choose to down some carbs for recovery but.... in terms of protien.... im lost, you need some cash. :confused:

you could always buy some pasturized Egg Beaters, and toss that in a shake.

They don't taste that bad actually. Just throw in some pineapple or something. Or just down it.

yeah if I run out of whey, I just replace it with a can of tuna.

If you do the math whey is not really expensive compared to solid food.
But if you have no cash and are eating whats in the house, I wouldn't sweat it. People got big with out whey. Just eat what you can when you can.

hi justin, if you run out of whey then post workout - 50gm mixed nuts, 50gm rasins.500ml skim milk, and blend until smooth.

You could eat a bunch of cottage cheese 1-2 hours before the workout.

I would still try and eat some high GI carbs immediately after training and then eat some whole food for protein after you have given the carbs time to digest.
