Tuesday 8/24/04

Ok, Ok, I know it has been forever since I have updated this, but I reached a major milestone last night and I thought I would update the log.

Here is a quick recap of the last several months to bring you up to speed. I’ve been on a crazy bulk for the last 4 ˝ weeks after losing some weight and mass this spring due to several deaths in the family and other medical drama with my brother. Anyway, about 6 weeks ago I started my bulk at 184-ish using V-12 and S1+. I’ve been lifting like a madman, got my bench back above 225 (255 last night for 3), and the big milestone was last night, pumped as hell after Chest / Biceps, I measured my arms out at 17”!!!

Nighttime weight was right at 210 lbs (morning comparable is probably 205-ish) and body fat read at 12.5% (probably more like 13%-14% based on what I can see of my abs)

So that’s the scoop – bulk ends on Labor Day and I’ll give you the final totals then.

Sometimes a bit of a break, for whatever reason, can help bring things back into perpespective. Sorry to hear about your losses but seems like you handled them really well and haven't let things slip.

put up 275 X 2 on Friday!!!

That was my strength goal for this part of the Bulk and I got it a week early.

Yea, I'm really happy with the results in the mirror. I'm hoping that it shows up on film (if nothing else so that i know I'm not just kidding myself)
It seems like everytime I take pics I'm not nearly as impressive as I think I am. haha :D

Had a little storm called Frances to deal with.

I came through the storm OK, it's just the two in a row thing and now with Ivan on the way the whole state is on edge.

I've been lucky twice now, but I know a ton of people who lost their roof in Charlie and then were wiped out by water dammage in Frances. Who knows what Ivan may bring.

Took some quick pics tonight with little to no pump and after a day of crappy eating.

I'm not sure if the pics show it, but I am bigger (at least the guy in the mirror keeps telling me that :D)

My biggest problem at this point (other than the bf%) is that my right bi is quite a bit smaller than my left. I'll have to survey the curl jockeys on how to correct that.

Justin- Thanks. I've been on 6-OXO for about a week after my S1+, weight is dropping but I think some of it is water. Next time I'm getting pics before I start PCT.


Arm measurement comes out to be about the same when pumped, but cold there is about a 1/4" difference. Left has a higher peak and more thickness. When i really tell is when wearing a t-shirt. Left sleeve is tight while the right it still loose.

Well I'm back on the S1+ and happily bulking again.

This time I'm trying to keep fairly lean so I've added some extra cardio sessions to my workouts. Currently weight is back up to 208 and nearly 1 hour after a psycho arm workout my arms are still measuring 17" :woohoo:

I'll be posting more pics at the end of this cycle around Thanksgiving.

Last night, I had something happen to me that has never happened before. After a long cardio session and brutal shoulder workout I got home and when I took of my shirt, for the first time I saw in the mirror that I could achieve my goal.

I mean, I've always told myself that I could do it, and hard work and dedication would pay off, but never have I actually seen that it was going to happen. Needless to say I was dehydrated from the cardio and pumped as hell in my arms, traps and especially shoulders, but there in the mirror was a guy that Actually looked like my goal.

We all play the mental games with the mirror "I'm bigger..." " I'm more cut..." "If I just squint my eyes and suck in my gut..." But when it is right there in front of you and you can finally say "this is going to really happen..." it was pretty amazing.

Anyway, It was pretty cool, and look out cause Herc is coming to a Fitness magazine cover near you in the near future.

Well, I'm officially at the halfway point in my S1+ cycle - I guess I can say my AAS cycle now (chaeck out my rant in the supplement forum) and I am very happy with the results.

Last night I reached my halfway weight goal of a lean 210Lbs so I feel like I am back on schedule after plateauing at 208 for more than a week. Unlike my last bulk I've kept up with cardio and my bodyfat% has remained basicly the same or lower that it was when I began. Over all I feel that while the weight hasn't piled on as quickly as last time, that this cycle has been more successful. I also think the gains are going to be maintainable when I come off unlike before when it was "soft" gains.

I'm probably kidding ,myself but I've still got until Thanksgiving to keep growing and get tighter before my cut.

Well, I’m down to my last two weeks of bulking. After seeing 210 I got mired down at 208 for almost a month. I finally busted through that plateau and now the scale is stubbornly stuck at 212. My new final weight goal for this bulk has been adjusted to 215. I'm looking for someway to break through since I am only 3 lbs away without resorting to oreos and ice cream. I'll keep you updated.

I really shouldn’t complain as my results are better than I could imagine. But making that 30lbs gained mark would be a nice ego goal to hit and to be just 3 lbs away…

Anyway, I’ll be posting pics soon, I'm hoping I can get the gains to actually show, I've got to figure out the lighting and posing thing.

Daniel (Hulk) is in town, We plan on getting together for a beer either tonight or tomorrow.

Well, my bulk ended last Saturday, a week early due to illness, and unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to weigh in when my mass was at it’s peak. I lost about 5-6 lbs over the week while I had a cold but was able to grab measurements last night. So here they are

Thanks Justin, I'm really happy with it. I hope I can keep most of the LBM as I cut. I'll keep the journal posted.

Picked up my camera last night and heard a small rattling sound form inside (never a good sign) and turns out my focus is broken. I'm going to try to borrow one, but I think I'm going to have to wait until after X-mas. Good thing santa is on his way!
