2000 calories a day, I think that may not be enough..im 5 8 185 and I eat 2700 or so and im trying to lose weight..to lose weight safely I would say you would want to go with quite a bit more than 2000. Maybe some of the other guys would have a recomendation on numbers

at 270 i would aim for more like 3000 a day.

try getting food from good sources:
protein: eggs, chicken, turkey, lean meats, whey, tuna, etc.
carbs: fibrous veggies, oats, sweet potatoes, brown rice, etc.
fats: fish oils, olive oil, flaxseed oil, etc.
