Hello all. I started lifting weights in February after realizing one day that my gut was outta control. I currently weigh 175 and I'm 6' tall. Over the past couple of months, I definitely noticed some muscle gain. The frustrating aspect of my progress is that my gut doesn't seem to go away! Am I eating too many calories??? The funny thing is that I recently went for a checkup (first time in 2 years) and my doctor told me that I weight exactly the same as 2 years ago when I wasn't even lifting weights.

I work out 3 times a week and eat 6 times a day. My diet looks like this:

Calories- 2300
Fat- 38 grams
Carbs- 228 grams
Protein- 247 grams

Your comments and thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

lower your daily Caloric intake slowly until you reach under 500 Calories of your current Caloric total, which I'm guessing is your maintenance Cals since you are staying the same weight.

more healthy fats, could you post what your diet looks like?
