Can I just dump dry quick oats right from the tub into yogurt, cottage cheese, or whatever? Is there any nutritional advantage to this, or just convenience?

Overall, it's just convenience. However, if you need to check on the numbers (cooked vs. raw) you can find the info for oats and any other food at:

Hope this helps some.

You don't have to cook the oats, but I can't stand the taste of them raw.
