Just picked up a box of "Atkins Endulge" peanut butter cups

these are - get this! - lowcarb with 2g net insulin-affecting carb count

they are about half the size of reese's peanut butter cups but taste about as good...

160cal
3g protein
13g fat
17g total carbs
(2.5g isomalt, 11g malitol)

possible downside: "Indulge Wisely. For those sensitive to sugar alcohols and their laxative effects, limit consumption to 1-2 servings daily."

Damn, they good! :D

Are those 13g of fat all saturated? Plus you need to take into account that 99% of those bars lie on those amounts, too. But they do sound good. :)

they're probably sat fats

I wouldn't try to live on these, but as far as I'm concerned it's carbs that are the enemy... not fats

Atkins is a decent brand with a lot to lose if they lie; I trust their numbers to be at least CLOSE...

SF jello clearly rocks

but it does not taste as good as these atkins peanut butter cups

Why not just have the real thing but keep it to a minimum? I don't think 250 empty calories once in awhile will hurt you...

He's doing a CKD/TKD. He can't afford that many carbs.

chocolate usually contains trans fats, what are the ingredients?

On the CKD, I would eat basically whatever I wanted to that didn't have that many carbs at all and I still lost 5.5% BF!

Yes, Callahan, the "Indulge" stuff is delicious. Pricey, but delicious. Try the other things they offer, too.

**WARNING!!** The "laxative" notice is NO JOKE! When I was doing Atkins, if I ate no less than three of those candies in one day, I got the worst $hits... I haven't trusted a fart since.

That said, as long as you're careful, they're great. ;)

Chocalate is so great:(

Sometimes dieting makes me sad. I just wanna destroy a Nestle Crunch or a whole ****load of M&M's.

According to the site above unsweetened chocolate is made from a chocolate liqueur and 50-58% cocoa butter:)
