Hey everyone,
I just got my wisdom teeth out. I'm having no trouble with the pain caused by it, but my cheeks have swollen up like a chipmunk. I've been icing them, but that doesn't seem to help too much. Does anyone know any other ways to quickly reduce swelling?
-thanks

Hmm, I only had one out and they had to cut the gum to remove it but I didn't experience much swelling.
I was hypnotised before hand actually by my Dad for it as I am hopeless at the dentist, so he claims that he helped to reduce any swelling ;)
So not much help, but hey I can gloat lol
I don't know about the swelling, but I discovered the awesomest treat while toothless. Frozen Jell-O :drooling:
Take some percocet and go to sleep for 2 days. THat's what I did :D

tylenol?
My Dr. recommended 500mg anti-inflammatory before surgery, and 200mg in regular intervals afterwards. Take an anti-inflammatory pill, as thats what they are designed to do, stop inflammation. ;)

for two separate surgeries that had a lot of swelling, both docs told me to take ibuprofen at precription strength.
