I wanted to do my HIIT training in the morning before breakfast however my schedule doesnt permit it.. i would just have to get up wayyyy to early..

anyways.. i will be doing it around 5pm 3 times a week and i was wondering if i should eat anything before hand. if so, what? and how long before?

thanks in advance,

Yes. You don't burn much fat during the actual HIIT session, what's good about HIIT is it raises your metabolism for the whole day. And if you want to do HIIT intensely, you need the energy.

Simple carbs, like 30g or so, + 40g protein or so.

Since HIIT is both anaerobic and aerobic exercise I would recommend taking in a small amount of carbs and protein before working out. Maybe ~25g of carbs and ~10-15g of protein in a small amount of water about 30 minutes before the session. I would keep the meal small so as not to cause any stomach discomfort during the training session.
