Im currently doing 2 groups per day over 3 days, should I be lifting 3 days on, 1 off or 1 day on, 1 off?

I think I already suggested this to you, but I would choose one on, one off. Rest is a good thing! Everyone recovers different from resistance training, so make your decision according to YOUR progress.

I like to do the following..

Work
rest
work
rest
work
rest
rest

start again

If you arwe working 3 days on the run you are not allowing your muscles to recover adequetely imo..

I have several times my scheme. And i had learn that the most you rest, the better. Nowadays, my training look like these :

4 On
3 Off

i woulden't be able to train 4 days in a row. i have to have a day in between trips to the gym. right now i go:
work
rest
work
rest
work
work
rest

sometimes even the two work days in a row is difficult
