I know that I should eat something before lifting in the a.m. but I have no idea what I can just grab and eat as soon as I get up. Can any of you folks give me some quick and simple ideas? Thanks.

Cook up some hard broiled eggs the night before....

or some hamburgers.
or some chicken.

etc.

Try a protein shake with low carbs and mixed in WATER- I take in about 30grams...30-40 mins b4 lifting...i've been going on an empty stomach for over 3 years, and have tried a change and really like it....

i have a 1/2c of cottag cheese mixed with a tbsp of flax.

quick, easy, goes down fast, doesn't cause a ruckus.

Whatever you eat,ensure that for 1gram of carbs(low gi) you get 1gram of protein.Ex. 30g.carbs/30g.protein and minimal fat as it "blocks" Growth hormone secretion.

MRp in water cause it will be asorbed quickly.
