I'm new to this forum. Started training a few weeks ago at a place in nearby Huntington.

This first thread is the foundation. I want to be big and significantly cut down my body fat index.

I've started taking a protein drink
Right now I'm 5'8, 182 pounds and most of my fat seems to be around the abdominal area...

For the most part I've been doing 30 minutes of cardio each day and alternating my workout routine between legs, chest, back and arms

My biggest challenges right now are:
1. Keeping a journal to record progress with specifics (weight, # of reps)
2. Paying closer attention to what's in the food I'm consuming
3. Being persistent

2003 -07-08 - 31 minutes spend on the stepper machine. 400 Calories burned. I felt really deprived of energy today. Didn't take my energy drink nor did I each much before the workout. Was operating on 5 hours of sleep also.

Wide Chest

12 @ 90 pounds
12@115 pounds
10@90 pounds

Front Military Press
8 @90
10 @50

Pec Fly
10@80 lbs

30 using the rubber ball. My abs were killing me at the end of this.

Tomorrow's plan is to work on my arms and be able to do 50 minutes of cardio. The following day I'll spend time on my legs.

Ever workout and just feel like you're not getting enough oxygen? That's how I felt yesterday...

2003-07-06 - 45 minutes on the Cyber stepper machine. Approximately 610 calories burned and a distance of 1.85 (I'm thinking it's in kilometers). My heart rate afterwards was about 156 beats per minute. I did some leg extensions also:
110 - 10
100 - 10
90 - 8

If you are doing 50 mins of cardio tomorrow, doing a leg day the day after will be difficult. I would recommend having more space between cardio and leg days, mainly because you just starting out and aren't conditioned yet. Or you could lower the cardio tomorrow so that your legs will be fresher on friday.
